DESCRIPTION:以歌聲優美的禽鳥Bulbul為名，《Bulbul Sings》從印度出發，擷取西方音樂的和聲與世界各地不同的音樂元素，創作出悅耳動聽的融合之聲。喜愛實驗與冒險的《Bulbul Sings》以印度音樂的交集為根基，透過特殊的編制進行這場驚喜不斷的音樂實驗之旅，使傳統與當代的界線不再分明。 \n北印度古典音樂來自古老的印度大陸，既有數學般的秩序之美，也有自由開放的揮灑空間。概念與爵士樂如此相近，所產出的聲響卻又截然不同。吉他手 #林華勁 及長笛手 #張瑛蘭 演奏爵士樂多年，曾參與台灣各地爵士樂音樂節的大小演出，塔布拉鼓/艾斯拉吉琴演奏家 #若池敏弘 從事北印度古典音樂的演奏與推廣已久，亦在融合樂的領域耕耘多年，曾榮獲金音獎最佳樂手的殊榮。喜愛實驗與冒險的三人以印度音樂的交集為根基，透過特殊的編制進行這場驚喜不斷的音樂實驗之旅。在休生養息並各自分頭進行不同的音樂實驗數年後，三人再次聚首，並邀請負笈美國加州藝術學院世界擊樂研究所研讀塔布拉鼓與其他打擊的新生代好手史孟航加入，成為全新的四重奏組合。 \n將印度旋律、爵士和聲、複合節奏冶於一爐，《Bulbul Sings》的成員使傳統與當代的界線不再分明，為聽眾帶來耳目一新的音樂想像。 \nNamed after the melodious bird Bulbul\, Bulbul Sings originates from India and fuses Western harmonies with musical elements from around the world to create an enchanting sound. Known for their love of experimentation and adventure\, Bulbul Sings is rooted in Indian music\, embarking on a journey of musical experimentation with a unique arrangement\, blurring the lines between tradition and the contemporary. \nNorth Indian Classical Music\, which hails from the ancient Indian subcontinent\, features both mathematical order and freedom for expression. Though its concepts closely resemble jazz\, the resulting sounds are entirely distinct. Guitarist Hua-Chin Lin and flutist Ying-Lan Chang\, both seasoned jazz performers who have participated in various jazz festivals in Taiwan\, are joined by Toshihiro Wachi\, a skilled tabla and esraj player dedicated to North Indian classical music and fusion genres. Wachi is a former Golden Indie Music Award winner for Best Instrumentalist. After a few years of individual musical explorations\, the three musicians have reunited for this surprising musical adventure.
