Furthermore\, the tale that Wang Xizhi (303–361) attempted to rewrite it ‘hundreds of times after sobering up\, yet none could match the original’ likely contributed to its enduring popularity and status as a timeless masterpiece. \nThroughout Chinese history\, there have been countless devotees infatuated with the Lanting Preface.
