Special Exhibition: Set Sail in a Shaking Era — The Life Trajectory of Chiang Wei-shui
\n「動搖世代的啟航：蔣渭水生命軌跡」特展資訊\n日期：114年08月22日〜115年08月\n開放時間：上午9時30分至下午５時30分（週一休館）\n地址：渭水驛站（臺北市大同區延平北路二段27號） \n  \nSpecial Exhibition: Set Sail in a Shaking Era — The Life Trajectory of Chiang Wei-shui\nThe Wei Shui Station\, under the Department of Cultural Affairs\, Taipei City Government\, is proud to present its latest exhibition: “Set Sail in a Shaking Era: The Life Trajectory of Chiang Wei-shui.” Curated by the Chiang Wei-shui Cultural Foundation\, this exhibition offers a profound look at the life of Taiwan’s pioneer of democratic enlightenment through the lens of a “Life River.” \nThe exhibition is inspired by Chiang Wei-shui’s own stirring words: \n\n“A shaking era is the happiest era for humanity; for only through the tremors of today can we achieve the progress of tomorrow.” \n\nMessage from the Curator\nChen Ya-chieh\, CEO of the Chiang Wei-shui Cultural Foundation\, shares that the goal is for visitors to not only learn about Chiang’s activism but also to feel his struggles\, choices\, and passion within the flow of history. We invite you to read the past through a modern lens and let the echoes of history resonate with your contemporary social responsibility. \nExhibition Highlights\nThe exhibition is divided into five themed sections\, tracing his journey from his student days in Yilan to his medical career and intellectual awakening. It highlights his philosophy of “Healing the People and the Nation\,” leading to the founding of the Taiwan Cultural Association. \n\n\nUnselfish Devotion (Section 4): This section offers a tender look at the two pivotal women in his life—his wife\, Shi You\, and his companion\, Chen Tian. \n\n\nRare Archives: For the first time\, several precious family photos are on display\, including a 1942 group photo of the Chiang family women at the Jikko-do Bookstore\, and rare portraits of Shi You and Chen Tian. Students are invited to set aside textbooks and spreadsheets at the end of the semester\, return to genuine face-to-face interactions\, and rediscover the department’s warmth and youthful energy. \nThe event adopts group registration\, with 8 to 10 participants per group\, and a fee of NT$1\,700 per group. Every voice is an echo of dreams; every beam of light is a song for the future. For the 18 students from Malaysia\, this exhibition marks the culmination of a two-year learning journey—a demonstration not only of courage\, but also of passion for their dreams and anticipation for what lies ahead. \nThe exhibition will be presented in two weeks and divided into eight groups:Week 1 (11/24–26): Graduation Planning Team\, Image/Visual Design Advertisement Production\, Public Welfare Digital Marketing\, Audio Production\, Video Production (I) (Music Video)Week 2 (12/2–4): Graduation Planning Team\, Strategic Marketing Project\, Public Relations Advocacy Experiment\, Video Production (II) (Short Film) \nThe Art Gallery is open daily from 10:00 to 16:00 during the exhibition period. Faculty\, students\, and friends are warmly invited to visit free of charge. \nExhibition Chief Coordinator Chen Szu-Chieh expressed heartfelt gratitude to every teacher for their guidance and companionship over the past two years. She shared that teachers not only taught professional knowledge in class but also offered care and support in daily life.“Because of their patient guidance\, we could feel a sense of home even while studying abroad. We are truly thankful for their dedication and effort\, which allow us to embark on our next journey with confidence and growth.” \nShe also reflected that although two years may seem short\, the journey became especially fulfilling because of everyone involved. She is deeply grateful for the support and companionship among classmates.“Perhaps because we all come from the same country—Malaysia—it has been especially easy and comfortable to connect and share common topics. I’ve felt so much warmth and familiarity. Even though our class has only 18 students\, everyone poured their full effort into completing SUN NEVER FALLS together. Thank you all for making this chapter of youth shine so brightly.”

These relationships—rooted in both sensory thresholds and human perception—push the audience into unforeseen perceptual states through processes of deconstruction and reconstruction. \nArtist | TAPAS HUMI \nAtayal visual artist\, motion designer\, and digital image creator; founder of Pinsbkan Digital Art.Raised between urban environments and indigenous communities\, he creates multilayered digital visuals that combine daily life experiences.
