DESCRIPTION:為宣導交通安全，軍訓室特地舉行了有獎徵答活動來增進大家對交通法規的熟悉度，期望透過這項活動能建立起各位同學對交通安全的概念，並減少意外發生的機率。本次有獎徵答自即日起至 4 /30(二)中午止，作答次數不受限制，完成後即有機會獲得頭獎現金NT3\,000、ASUS ZenPower 10050mAh行動電源5台、NT$500現金6名、NT$200現金20名，各式豐富獎品等人抱回家，歡迎踴躍參與！另，軍訓室目前備有愛心傘、安全帽、吹風機等物品免費提供同學借用，歡迎有需要者前往詢問。 \n前陣子台灣被CNN評論為行人交通地獄，帶動了大家對於交通環境的關注度，在2023年有三千多人死於交通事故，平均每天就會有8人死於車禍，在這樣怵目驚心的數據前不禁會想到，我們到底該如何改善這個問題？冰凍三尺非一日之寒，或許透過立法改善能短時間看到成效，但真正該做的還是遵照法規並建立正確的用路觀念，才可以提升整體的交通環境。 \nTo promote traffic safety awareness\, the Military Training Office is holding a quiz contest with prizes to enhance everyone’s familiarity with traffic regulations. Through this activity\, we hope to instill a sense of traffic safety among students and reduce the chances of accidents. The quiz contest runs from now until April 30 at noon. There is no limit to the number of attempts\, and participants have the chance to win the following prizes: \nFirst Prize: NT$3\,000 cash\, 5 ASUS ZenPower 10050mAh power banks\, 6 prizes of NT$500 cash\, and 20 prizes of NT$200 cash\, along with various other attractive rewards. \nWe encourage everyone to participate actively! Additionally\, the Military Training Office currently provides items such as umbrellas\, helmets\, and hairdryers for free borrowing. Please feel free to inquire if needed. \nRecently\, Taiwan was labeled by CNN as a pedestrian traffic hell\, sparking increased attention to the traffic environment. In 2023\, over three thousand people died in traffic accidents\, averaging eight deaths per day. Faced with such alarming statistics\, we must consider how to address this issue. DESCRIPTION:活動宗旨 Event Purpose \n隨著科技的進步，知識越來越垂手可得，單有高知識不再和高競爭力劃上等號，還需加上思考與創新的能力，方能成為領域中的佼佼者。而學校教育面對此一趨勢，教學目標轉變，經營策略與教學方法也應隨之變革。事實上國際間教育革新早已行之多年，我國更是早將培養創造力作為教育政策的目標之一。本活動正是為了響應此趨勢，結合KDP國際教育榮譽學會(Kappa Delta Pi\, International Honor Society in Education)榮譽會員國際授證，鼓勵學校經營者與教師求新求變，開創出教育界的嶄新氣象。 \nWith the advancement of technology\, knowledge has become increasingly accessible. However\, having high knowledge alone no longer guarantees high competitiveness; it also requires the ability to think and innovate. In response to this trend\, educational objectives have shifted\, and strategies for management and teaching methods should also evolve accordingly. In fact\, educational reforms have been implemented internationally for many years\, and our country has long made fostering creativity one of its educational policy goals. DESCRIPTION:銘傳大學都市規劃與防災學系第18屆畢業展「城．浮」，4/22-26在桃園校區設計大樓中庭舉行校內展，5/17-19在華山文創園區東2D倉庫舉行校外展。 \n本屆畢展主題「城．浮」，代表城市意象、重新浮現。8件畢展作品以台北、新北為主要基地，聚焦於「災前重建整備」、「都市更新」、「河川周邊改善」等三大議題，分別探討城市的脆弱與韌性、城市機能再生與永續新規劃、河川文化價值與魅力等。 \n都防系學生將結合大學四年所學，為台北市萬華龍山寺周邊老舊街區、新北市蘆洲區住宅區、台北市永康特色商圈進行災損模擬與重建整備規劃，並針對新北市永和區捷運周邊地區、老舊街區提出都市更新方案，以及河川周邊的新北市五股區成子寮、台北市士林區堤內後港地區、新北市樹林區鹿角溪沿岸進行環境改善、生活圈改造計畫。 \n18th Graduation Exhibition of the Department of Urban Planning and Disaster Management at Ming Chuan University\, titled 「城．浮」 will be held on Taoyuan Campus at the Design Building atrium from April 22 to 26\, followed by an off-campus exhibition at Warehouse East 2D of the Huashan Creative Park from May 17 to 19. \nThe theme of this year’s exhibition\, 「城．浮」 symbolizes the resurgence of urban imagery. Eight exhibition works\, primarily based in Taipei and New Taipei City\, focus on three main topics: “pre-disaster reconstruction and preparation”\, “urban renewal” and “improvement of riverside areas”. These projects explore the vulnerability and resilience of cities\, urban function regeneration and sustainable planning\, as well as the cultural value and charm of riversides. \nStudents from Department of Urban Planning and Disaster Management will utilize their four years of university learning to conduct disaster simulation and reconstruction planning for the old streets around Longshan Temple in Wanhua\, Taipei City\, residential areas in Luzhou District\, New Taipei City\, and the unique commercial district of Yongkang in Taipei City. They will also propose urban renewal plans for the areas around MRT stations and old streets in Yonghe District\, New Taipei City\, as well as environmental improvement and lifestyle circle transformation projects for areas along the riversides\, including Chengziliao in Wugu District\, New Taipei City\, Dineihougang in Shilin District\, Taipei City\, and the banks of Lukangxi in Shulin District\, New Taipei City.

DESCRIPTION:圖書館除了是大家期中前、課間的好夥伴外，還舉辦了許多精彩的活動要給各位同學及老師參與。將在4/22（一）至5/3（五）於台北及桃園校區圖書館舉辦的「世界書香日系列活動@年度好書展」，展出內容包含了Openbook閱讀誌所評選2023年度好書、2023年多項入圍與得獎好書以及誠品、博客來網路書店年度暢銷書。主題分別有「年度中文創作」、「年度翻譯書」、「年度生活書」三類，除了展場主題書外還有線上書展供無法到現場的朋友參與。 \n只要追蹤圖書館IG/FB、分享活動貼文至限時動態並借閱三本實體書，就能夠至櫃檯登記兌換「品閱書暢」活動獎品：勵志文字壓克力鑰匙圈，達成以上條件後再借閱三本電子書，還能加碼獲得每日限量的蒟蒻飲一杯，歡迎大家一同參與這場好書的饗宴。 \n另，桃園校區圖書館與桃園市立圖書館龜山分館為了推動教師與學生培養終身學習和閱讀風氣，使得學習與閱讀能自然成為生活的一部分，攜手合作結合『多元文化與世界閱讀節』活動，於桃園校區-資訊素養暨創客空間舉辦兩場主題講座。 \n第一場講座邀請到18Light（陳崑元）以「創作自己的原創 IP 故事：學生如何成為產品開發者」為主題在4/23（二）14:00-16:00舉行，除了分享從零開始的勇氣與挑戰外，也會講述創業成功的要素並將經驗傳述給參與者，為我們帶來啟發。第二場講座在5/16（四）14:00-16:00舉行，邀請到蔡宜寧講師來為大家講述性平相關主題「性別不設限-多元文化多元愛情」，並講解科技對於性平方面的影響，以及遇到性騷擾時的處理方式。 \n為了鼓勵同學踴躍參與講座，出席本次活動將有機會獲得金莎巧克力。也希望透過這兩場講座能促進人與人之間的交流並從講者分享的內容獲得啟發，以得到心靈平和與內心堅韌的力量，重新燃起對生活的熱情，並擴展個人視野以及追求自我實現。 \nThe library is not just a great companion for students and teachers before and between classes; it also hosts many exciting events for everyone to participate in. From April 22 to May 3\, the “World Book Day @Book Fair of 2023” will be held at the libraries of both Taipei and Taoyuan campuses. The exhibition will showcase the best books selected by Openbook Reading Magazine for the year 2023\, as well as several nominated and award-winning books from 2023\, along with the best-selling books from Eslite and Books.com.tw online bookstores. The themes include “Annual Chinese Creations”\, “Annual Translations” and “Annual Lifestyle Books”. In addition to the featured books\, there will also be an online book fair for those who cannot attend in person. \nBy following the library’s IG/FB accounts\, sharing event posts to stories\, and borrowing three physical books\, participants can register at the counter to redeem the “Book Appreciation Reward”: an inspirational text acrylic keychain. After meeting the above conditions and borrowing three e-books\, participants can also receive a limited edition cup of konjac drink each day. Everyone is welcome to join this feast of good books. \nFurthermore\, in collaboration with the Guishan Branch of Taoyuan Public Library\, the Taoyuan campus library is organizing two themed lectures as part of the “Multiculturalism and World Reading Festival” event\, aiming to promote lifelong learning and reading habits among teachers and students\, making learning and reading a natural part of life. \nThe first lecture\, titled “Creating Your Own Original IP Story: How Students Become Product Developers”\, will be conducted by 18Light (Chen Kun-yuan) on April 23 from 14:00 to 16:00. Apart from sharing the courage and challenges of starting from scratch\, the speaker will also discuss the elements of successful entrepreneurship and pass on their experiences to the participants\, providing inspiration. The second lecture\, scheduled for May 16 from 14:00 to 16:00\, will feature Lecturer Cai Yi-ning speaking on gender-related topics\, titled “Gender Unlimited – Multiculturalism and Multifaceted Love”\, and explaining the impact of technology on gender equality and how to handle sexual harassment. \nTo encourage active participation in the lectures\, attendees will have the chance to receive Ferrero Rocher chocolates. It is hoped that through these two lectures\, participants will engage in exchanges with others and be inspired by the speakers’ sharing\, gaining inner peace and resilience\, reigniting their passion for life\, expanding their horizons\, and pursuing self-fulfillment.

In order to facilitate interaction and communication between local students and international students from various countries\, the International Education and Exchange Division is promoting the “Buddy Program“. This program pairs each international student with a local student to assist them in integrating into campus life and experiencing Taiwanese culture. We invite enthusiastic students who are eager to engage with international students to participate actively! \nTo sign up\, please visit International Education and Exchange Division website and complete the application form. Attach a photo and obtain a signature from a recommending teacher. Then\, attend an on-site interview\, which will be held separately at both campuses. For the Taoyuan campus\, interviews will take place on April 23-24 from 12:00 to 13:00 in the Tea Culture Classroom of the Department of Applied Chinese. For the Taipei campus\, interviews will be held on April 25-26 from 12:00 to 13:00 in D201-1. Choose one day to attend the interview according to your campus preference. On the day of the interview\, remember to bring the application form and deliver a 30-second self-introduction in English. The panel will then ask questions to evaluate applicants’ communication skills and language proficiency. Successful candidates will be notified of their acceptance via email or phone from April 29 to May 3. \nAccepted buddies are required to attend the Buddy Program Session: Taipei campus session on May 7 (Tuesday) from 12:00 to 13:00 in H101\, and Taoyuan campus session on May 9 (Thursday) from 12:00 to 13:00 in M104. Following that\, the Coffee Club will demonstrate the coffee hand brewing process\, providing a live experience of hand-brewed coffee alongside the ukulele performance. Through mutual exchange\, the event aims to foster relationships among participants and broaden knowledge in different fields. This peninsula encompasses three countries: Sweden\, Norway\, and Denmark\, and sometimes Finland is included as well. The traditional music of these regions each possesses unique characteristics and is influenced by neighboring countries. We will present the beauty of Northern music with Swedish traditional keyed fiddle\, guitar\, and fiddle\, accompanied by the singing of Nordic traditional folk songs. \n演出樂手​ Performing Musicians \nNyckelharpa 演奏：林世唐 Tauno Lin \n北歐民謠演唱/吉他 Nordic Folk Singing/Guitar：林孝軒 Lin Xiao-Xuan \n古提琴演奏 Fiddle：王年愷 Wang Nian-Kai \n演出樂手介紹 Musician Introduction \n \n林世唐 Tauno Lin \n林世唐老師是台灣第一位凱爾特和北歐音樂演奏家，主要演奏愛爾蘭長笛、瑞典按鍵式提琴為主。在台灣推廣愛爾蘭音樂多年，曾向日本愛爾蘭大師Hatao先生學習愛爾蘭錫口笛及長笛，並受邀參與風潮唱片何真真、歌手梁文音作品錄音，為台灣愛爾蘭音樂重要的演奏家。近年開始研究北歐音樂，並在台灣推廣。曾在Volvo汽車舉辦的北歐家庭日活動中演奏瑞典按鍵式提琴。 \nMr. Tauno Lin is Taiwan’s first Celtic and Nordic music performer\, specializing in Irish flute and Swedish keyed fiddle. He has been promoting Irish music in Taiwan for many years and has studied Irish tin whistle and flute with the Japanese Irish master\, Mr. Hatao. He has also been invited to participate in the recordings of albums by Taiwanese artists such as Ho Chen-Chen and Liang Wen-Yin\, making him an important figure in Taiwan’s Irish music scene. In recent years\, he has begun to study Nordic music and promote it in Taiwan. He has performed Swedish keyed fiddle at Nordic Family Day events hosted by Volvo Automobiles. \n \n王年愷 Wang Nian-Kai \n台大外文系、北藝大管絃擊樂研究所，大提琴主修畢業，師大翻譯所博士班肄業。喜歡自學很多東西，包括大提琴、古提琴、翻譯、攝影、軟焊、手沖咖啡等。也喜歡挑戰一些瘋狂的事，例如包括一場表演拉完巴赫六首大提琴無伴奏組曲，走了25公里去看表演、在12個小時內翻譯完一齣三小時長的劇本，出門帶著五台相機等等。 \nGraduated from the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Taiwan University\, with a major in cello from the Graduate Institute of Conducting and Percussion Instruments at Taipei National University of the Arts. He pursued a doctoral program in translation at National Taiwan Normal University but discontinued it. He enjoys self-learning various skills\, including cello\, viola da gamba\, translation\, photography\, soldering\, and hand drip coffee. He also likes to challenge himself with some crazy feats\, such as performing all six solo cello suites by Bach in one concert\, walking 25 kilometers to attend a performance\, translating a three-hour-long script within 12 hours\, and carrying five cameras when going out. \n \n林孝軒 Lin Xiao-Xuan \n一位天文物理學家，曾在挪威這個冬季暗夜深長的國度，研究著關於太陽的一些光芒。不論在哪裡都一定要唱歌，這次想要分享一些來自北國的民謠。 \n經歷：南加州大學Oriana women’s choir、奧斯陸大學Akademisk korforening、沂風室內合唱團、台北愛樂合唱團 \nA astrophysicist who once studied the rays of the sun in Norway\, a country known for its long winter nights.
