SUMMARY:靜˙物 Still Life
\n參展藝術家 \n王亮尹\n吳思嶔\n走路草農／藝團\n邱承宏\n張義雄\n莫伊塞斯‧巴瑞歐斯\n郭柏川\n劉啟祥\n賴九岑 \n策展人\n王瑋婷 \nDuring childhood\, objects are imbued with our imaginations. A simple stick becomes a person or a bridge; some grains of rice on the kitchen table can be arranged into a long train; a bicycle becomes a frame for a tent; blankets can be used to construct a magical fort; and a living room rug is the sea. In the minds of children\, simple\, everyday objects become toys\, props\, platforms for performances\, or living things; and they use their creativity to make up endless stories\, plays\, and even imaginary friends. Artists are actually a lot like children—throughout history\, they have used their imaginations to explore and study objects in a similar way\, but also to create different kinds of still lifes. Still Life\, a project by the Children’s Art Education Center\, takes as its point of departure still-life paintings and sculptures in the Museum collection\, and has specially commissioned interactive installations. The project endeavors to facilitate interesting interactions with these works\, as well as exploration of how artists create various dynamic presentations of objects in their artworks. Just as children do\, artists can communicate by creating interesting connections among simple objects. The exhibition is divided into three subthemes: Relationships Among Objects\, Recorder of Time and Objects Recreated. These themes deconstruct the still-life genre and encourage visitors to view the world around them from novel perspectives. The exhibition includes not only static artworks\, but also those offering opportunities for experiential exploration of objects’ meanings through manipulation and reassembly. \nArtists\nWANG Liang-Yin\nWU Sih-Chin\nWalking Grass Agriculture\nCHIJ Chen-Hung\nCHANG Yi-Hsiung\nMoises BARRIOS\nKUO Po-Chuan\nLIU Chi-Hsiang\nLAI Chiu-Chen \nCurator\n王瑋婷 Wang\, Wei-Ting \n日期 Date｜3/22－8/31 09:30 ~ 17:30（每週一休館 Closed every Mondays） \n收費 Fee｜NT$30

SUMMARY:時代劇場 Theater of the Times：當代影像的複數演繹 Contemporary Images and Their Many Interpretations
\n藝術家：\n張乾琦、周慶輝、全明遠、何經泰、謝三泰、石內都、劉振祥、羅晟文、森山大道、西野壯平、盧純澤Suntag Noh、凱薩琳．歐佩、安娜．里德勒、沈昭良、杉本博司、黃海昌、徐冰 \nThe exhibition “Theater of the Times: Contemporary Images and Their Many Interpretations” focuses on the evolution of reportage photography under the rapid advancement of technology\, from the analog era with its professional photographic technology to the digital era with a camera in everyone’s smartphone\, from paper media to digital platforms and even digital images generated by algorithms. It ponders the changes and ideas brought into being by photographers\, image production\, and image contents. In Paragraphs on Conceptual Art\, the American conceptual art pioneer Solomon LeWitt (1928- 2007) wrote\, “The idea becomes a machine that makes the art.” This is the core value of contemporary documentary photography. \nThe exhibition adopts the Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto’s photo series Theaters as a metaphor\, ruminating on the interrelationships among creators\, camera functions\, photography\, time and image production. In the era of digital photography\, contemporary photographers have basically adopted the creative approach of “anti-reportage\,” altering or slowing down the cadence at which reportorial photographs were taken in the past\, paying less attention to decisive moments and conflicts\, or using medium- or large-format cameras (instead of the usual 35mm cameras) in an attempt to present their subjective worlds in stylized manners\, with attitudes of circumspection and contemplation. \nIn On Photography\, Susan Sontag observes\, “Photographs\, which cannot themselves explain anything\, are inexhaustible invitations to deduction\, speculation and fantasy.” This exhibition examines contemporary image works by Taiwanese and international artists from two main approaches—“The Cameraperson Carrying Their Camera” and “The Artist Using Images Recorded by Cameras.” It also exploring three subordinate themes: “Hidden Protagonists\,” “Transformation and Rebirth” and “Visual Landscapes.” Delving into photography as a kind of art with its own unique qualities\, presenting works by 17 artists in a diverse array of forms\, such as photographs\, moving images\, video installation\, photographic theater and still photo film. Here\, we ponder how contemporary documentary images reflect reality\, as well as their outlook\, influence and meaning for human society. \nArtists： \nCHANG Chien-Chi\, CHOU Ching-Hui\, CHUAN Ming-Yuan\, HO Ching-Tai\, HSIEH San-Tai\, ISHIUCHI Miyako\, LIU Chen-Hsiang\, LO Sheng-Wen\, MORIYAMA Daido\, NISHINO Sohei\, NOH Suntag\, Catherine OPIE\, Anna RIDLER\, SHEN Chao-Liang\, SUGIMOTO Hiroshi\, WONG Hoy Cheong\, XU Bing \n日期 Date｜3/29－7/13 09:30 ~ 17:30（每週一休館 Closed every Mondays） \n收費 Fee｜NT$30

Each game is independent\, and every participant starts fresh. No prior experience needed! \nQ: Can I join with friends?A: Yes! And having existing friendships might even open up new strategic possibilities (we wish you luck staying friends afterward). \nDevil’s Invitation is inspired by the Korean reality show The Devil’s Plan and designed to let players explore the depth of human nature through negotiation\, cooperation and betrayal. \nTo win\, you must quickly grasp the game’s core and craft the ultimate strategy. \nUnleash your inner Devil\, and let your brilliance and wit shine! \nBremen Boardgame located in Taipei’s Yitong Street\, Bremen offers a spacious 100+ square meter venue with a big screen\, stage and private rooms for various events. \nWith an extensive board game collection and guided game sessions\, it’s the perfect spot for family\, friends and game enthusiasts to gather and play. \nReady to test your wits and survive the Devil’s game? Voice Everlasting
\nSEMISCON Vocal Band—Taiwan’s first professional a cappella group—was founded in 2002 and is renowned for its innovative use of the human voice as the sole instrument. Specializing in a cappella performances (music created entirely by the human voice without the use of any instruments)\, the group breaks away from traditional choral concepts. Their repertoire spans classical\, jazz\, and both Eastern and Western pop music\, offering audiences a rich and immersive experience. SEMISCON is one of Taiwan’s rare musical groups celebrated for its creativity and flexible performance style. \nOn April 11\, SEMISCON will present a captivating collection of beloved campus folk songs\, alongside timeless classics from Taiwan’s legendary divas—Teresa Teng\, Fong Fei-Fei and Tsuei Tai-Ching. Reimagined through their signature a cappella style\, these iconic melodies will transport the audience through time\, offering a fresh yet nostalgic musical journey.

His multidisciplinary works span drawing\, sculpture\, tapestry\, film\, theater\, literature and performance. \nKentridge’s artistic approach seamlessly blends drawing\, writing\, filmmaking\, performance\, music\, theater and collaborative practice\, incorporating politics\, science\, literature and history while embracing ambiguity and contradiction. \n肯特里奇的戲劇作品曾在全球各大劇院和藝術節上演，包括《Refuse the Hour》、《Winterreise》、《Paper Music》、《The Head & the Load》、《Ursonate》、《Sibyl》、《The Great Yes\, The Great No》。 \n“I was fortunate to discover at drama school that I was a terrible actor… leading me to ‘fall back’ on being an artist—which I accepted without protest.” – William Kentridge \nSince the 1990s\, Kentridge’s works have been exhibited worldwide\, including at:🏛 Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)\, New York🏛 Albertina Museum\, Vienna🏛 Louvre\, Paris🏛 Whitechapel Gallery\, London🏛 Louisiana Museum of Modern Art\, Copenhagen🏛 Museo Reina Sofía\, Madrid🏛 Kunstmuseum Basel\, Switzerland🏛 Zeitz MOCAA & Norval Foundation\, Cape Town🏛 Royal Academy of Arts\, London \nHe has also participated in documenta (1997\, 2002\, 2012) and the Venice Biennale (1993\, 1999\, 2005\, 2013\, 2015) multiple times. \nTheatrical Works \nKentridge’s stage productions have been performed at major theaters and art festivals worldwide\, including:🎭 Refuse the Hour🎭 Winterreise🎭 Paper Music🎭 The Head & the Load🎭 Ursonate🎭 Sibyl🎭 The Great Yes\, The Great No \n \n《女先知》——30萬人展覽之後，迎來劇場鉅獻 \n如果展覽是一本未讀完的書，這場演出就是最後一章！ \nSIBYL: From Exhibition to Theatrical Masterpiece \n“If an exhibition is an unfinished book\, this performance is its final chapter.” \nMissed the critically acclaimed exhibition that drew over 300\,000 visitors? No worries—in 2025\, SIBYL will bring Kentridge’s artistic legacy to the stage. \nA culmination of his life’s work\, this production blends drawing\, animation\, music\, and dance\, transcending the boundaries of art and theater to create an immersive\, thought-provoking experience. \nHandcrafted page-like projections evoke the prophetic Sibyls of Apollo’s Oracle\, who inscribed their predictions on leaves.Traditional South African choral music and haunting vocal harmonies infuse the performance with a deep cultural resonance.Continuous\, spiraling movements of dancers symbolize the inescapable nature of fate and the fleeting impermanence of existence. \nPrepare for a profound artistic encounter that challenges perception and redefines storytelling.
