DESCRIPTION:響應「423世界書香日」，銘傳大學圖書館自4/21至5/9同步於台北、桃園及金門三校區推出「字成一格」系列閱讀活動，結合主題書展、借閱好禮與電子書推廣，邀請全校師生踏上一段春日書香之旅。 \n此次主題書展精選OpenBook得獎好書與2024年網路書店暢銷書，涵蓋多元題材，展現豐富的閱讀風貌。借閱活動方面，凡借閱書展書籍三本，即可獲得精美小禮一份；電子資源推廣則鼓勵讀者進入任一電子書平台借閱五本書，並於指定表單填寫最吸引人的書籍，完成步驟即可至櫃台登記抽獎。 \n透過實體與數位閱讀並行的多元方式，讓閱讀成為日常生活中自然的片刻沉澱。圖書館誠摯邀請全校師生前往各校區館藏區域參與活動，感受字句交織的魅力，一起用閱讀開啟靈感與創意的新頁。 \nIn celebration of World Book Day on April 23\, Library will launch the “Words in Style” reading campaign across its Taipei\, Taoyuan and Kinmen campuses from April 21 to May 9. This event features themed book displays\, borrowing incentives and e-book promotions—inviting all faculty and students to embark on a literary springtime journey. \nThe themed book exhibition showcases award-winning titles from OpenBook and 2024 bestsellers from online bookstores\, covering a wide range of topics and demonstrating the richness of reading experiences. \nBorrowing Rewards:Borrow three books from the display collection and receive a special gift. \nE-Book Promotion:Borrow five e-books from any of the digital platforms\, then fill out a form indicating the most captivating title you’ve read. Once completed\, you’ll be eligible to register at the library counter for a lucky draw. \nBy promoting both physical and digital reading\, the campaign encourages everyone to embrace reading as a moment of calm and reflection in daily life. The library warmly welcomes all faculty and students to explore the featured collections on each campus and experience the creative spark that words can bring. DESCRIPTION:母親節將至，為鼓勵銘傳人表達對母親的感謝之情，台北校區學生會於5/5-5/8一連四天舉辦「孝親週」系列活動，於每日10:30至16:00在自由廣場熱情登場。活動結合手作、遊戲與咖啡香，打造出兼具溫度與趣味的感恩週，邀請全校師生一同參與，向媽媽傳遞暖心心意。 \n今年活動以「讓愛不只是說說而已」為主軸，設置多個體驗攤位，包括手作「毛根花花」，同學可選擇現成花瓣或親手製作，最多組成五朵愛的花束，帶回家送給媽媽傳情達意。現場還有趣味十足的「家事大富翁」，與朋友或工作人員同場競賽，根據指令挑戰任務，率先抵達終點即可獲得限量雀巢KitKat巧克力早餐脆片。 \n除了主題攤位，學生會更邀請咖啡品茗社參與，讓香濃手沖咖啡散發溫馨氛圍，歡迎大家來品味一杯屬於孝親週的「好咖啡」。此外，完成指定任務還有機會獲得KitKat巧克力早餐脆片一盒，好康又好玩。 \n學生會孝親週，邀請大家把感謝化作具體行動，踴躍走出教室，親手做花、挑戰遊戲、喝杯咖啡，把愛帶回家。 \nWith Mother’s Day just around the corner\, the Student Association of Taipei Campus is organizing a four-day “Filial Piety Week” from May 5 to May 8\, to encourage Ming Chuan students to express gratitude to their mothers. The event will take place daily from 10:30 to 16:00 at Liberty Square\, bringing together crafts\, games and the aroma of fresh coffee to create a warm and fun-filled appreciation week. All faculty and students are invited to join in and share heartfelt messages with their moms. \nThis year’s theme\, “Let Love Be More Than Just Words”\, will be showcased through various interactive booths. At the “Pipe Cleaner Flower” station\, students can either assemble pre-made petals or craft their own to create a bouquet of up to five blossoms\, ready to take home as a thoughtful gift. There’s also the fun-filled “Household Chores Monopoly” game\, where participants compete with friends or staff\, complete tasks based on prompts\, and race to the finish line to win a box of Nestlé KitKat Chocolate Cereal—available in limited quantity! \nIn addition to the themed activities\, the Specialty Coffee Club has been invited to brew hand-drip coffee on-site\, filling the area with a warm and inviting aroma. Everyone is welcome to stop by and enjoy a special “Filial Piety Week” cup of coffee. To enhance students’ English presentation skills and confidence in public speaking\, the department will be hosting the English Presentation Contest on Wednesday\, May 7\, from 15:15 to 16:10 at Room P102\, Tourism & Languages Building\, Taoyuan Campus. \nThe competition will be conducted in teams of 3 to 5 students\, and all presentations must be delivered in English. Participants are encouraged to introduce the unique features and resources of the department\, as well as share academic and extracurricular experiences to demonstrate their understanding and passion for their field of study. \nThe judging criteria will focus on presentation design\, stage presence\, content and delivery skills. The event aims to inspire creativity\, promote English communication abilities and foster teamwork. All participating students will receive an official leave of absence and a certificate of participation. The top three teams will be awarded NT$2\,000\, NT$1\,500 and NT$1\,000 respectively\, along with certificates. Other teams will also receive small gifts as tokens of encouragement. \nThe presentation order drawing and file submission will take place on Monday\, May 5\, at 12:30 outside School of Social Sciences office. This year’s event is co-organized by eight university skateboarding clubs from northern Taiwan\, including Ming Chi University of Technology\, Mackay Medical College\, Shih Hsin University\, MCU\, Chang Gung University\, Tamkang University\, National Taipei University of Technology and National Taiwan Ocean University — all joining forces to create a youthful stage for skateboard enthusiasts. \nThe competition will feature three main events: Ollie Long Jump\, Ollie High Jump and Skate Game\, inviting all skateboarders to challenge their limits. The venue will be filled with fun obstacle courses where participants can win prizes such as delicious food and beverages. Blending competition and entertainment\, the event will celebrate the passion and freedom of skateboarding culture.
