Through this activity\, we hope to instill a sense of traffic safety among students and reduce the chances of accidents. The quiz contest runs from now until April 30 at noon. There is no limit to the number of attempts\, and participants have the chance to win the following prizes: \nFirst Prize: NT$3\,000 cash\, 5 ASUS ZenPower 10050mAh power banks\, 6 prizes of NT$500 cash\, and 20 prizes of NT$200 cash\, along with various other attractive rewards. \nWe encourage everyone to participate actively! DESCRIPTION:第35屆銘傳文藝獎已經邁入最終徵稿時程，包括小說、中文散文、現代詩、英文創作、四格漫畫、歌曲創作、校園攝影等七個組別，都將在3/20 (三) 截止收件。為了給予評審委員充裕的審稿時間，主辦單位將不會延長上述七組的截稿日期，請有意參與校園文學競賽的同學，把握時程。 \n此外，微電影評審建議，因應開學至截稿日僅三週時間，對於需要較多時間剪輯後製的微電影團隊，略嫌倉促。為求投稿作品能更完美呈現，經主辦單位決議微電影組順延至4/3 (三) 截止收件。提醒大家，只有「微電影組」延後收件日，其餘各組別將維持3/20 (三) 截止哦！ \nThe 35th Ming Chuan Literary and Art Awards has entered its final submission phase\, including seven categories such as Chinese novel\, Chinese prose\, modern Chinese poetry\, English creative writing\, four-frame cartoon\, song creation\, and campus photography. The deadline for submissions for all categories is March 20 (Wednesday). In order to provide the judging panel with ample time for evaluation\, the deadline for the seven categories mentioned above will not be extended\, so interested students participating in the campus literary competition should adhere to the schedule. \nAdditionally\, regarding the Short Film category\, the judging panel suggests an extension due to the limited three-week period from the start of the school year to the submission deadline\, which may be somewhat rushed for teams requiring more time for editing and post-production of their short film. To ensure that submitted works can be presented more perfectly\, it has been decided by the organizers to extend the deadline for the short film category to April 3 (Wednesday). Please note that only the “Short Film category” deadline is extended\, while the deadlines for all other categories will remain on March 20 (Wednesday)!

The basic requirements for the submitted videos are as follows: participants should register individually but can form teams\, the length of each video should be between 30-60 seconds\, and you need to submit two videos. The main format should be short video content with creative audiovisual elements\, and you can use any filming tool\, including mobile phones. DESCRIPTION:銘傳大學都市規劃與防災學系第18屆畢業展「城．浮」，4/22-26在桃園校區設計大樓中庭舉行校內展，5/17-19在華山文創園區東2D倉庫舉行校外展。 \n本屆畢展主題「城．浮」，代表城市意象、重新浮現。8件畢展作品以台北、新北為主要基地，聚焦於「災前重建整備」、「都市更新」、「河川周邊改善」等三大議題，分別探討城市的脆弱與韌性、城市機能再生與永續新規劃、河川文化價值與魅力等。 \n都防系學生將結合大學四年所學，為台北市萬華龍山寺周邊老舊街區、新北市蘆洲區住宅區、台北市永康特色商圈進行災損模擬與重建整備規劃，並針對新北市永和區捷運周邊地區、老舊街區提出都市更新方案，以及河川周邊的新北市五股區成子寮、台北市士林區堤內後港地區、新北市樹林區鹿角溪沿岸進行環境改善、生活圈改造計畫。 \n18th Graduation Exhibition of the Department of Urban Planning and Disaster Management at Ming Chuan University\, titled 「城．浮」 will be held on Taoyuan Campus at the Design Building atrium from April 22 to 26\, followed by an off-campus exhibition at Warehouse East 2D of the Huashan Creative Park from May 17 to 19. \nThe theme of this year’s exhibition\, 「城．浮」 symbolizes the resurgence of urban imagery. Eight exhibition works\, primarily based in Taipei and New Taipei City\, focus on three main topics: “pre-disaster reconstruction and preparation”\, “urban renewal” and “improvement of riverside areas”. These projects explore the vulnerability and resilience of cities\, urban function regeneration and sustainable planning\, as well as the cultural value and charm of riversides. \nStudents from Department of Urban Planning and Disaster Management will utilize their four years of university learning to conduct disaster simulation and reconstruction planning for the old streets around Longshan Temple in Wanhua\, Taipei City\, residential areas in Luzhou District\, New Taipei City\, and the unique commercial district of Yongkang in Taipei City. They will also propose urban renewal plans for the areas around MRT stations and old streets in Yonghe District\, New Taipei City\, as well as environmental improvement and lifestyle circle transformation projects for areas along the riversides\, including Chengziliao in Wugu District\, New Taipei City\, Dineihougang in Shilin District\, Taipei City\, and the banks of Lukangxi in Shulin District\, New Taipei City.

From April 22 to May 3\, the “World Book Day @Book Fair of 2023” will be held at the libraries of both Taipei and Taoyuan campuses. The exhibition will showcase the best books selected by Openbook Reading Magazine for the year 2023\, as well as several nominated and award-winning books from 2023\, along with the best-selling books from Eslite and Books.com.tw online bookstores. The themes include “Annual Chinese Creations”\, “Annual Translations” and “Annual Lifestyle Books”. In addition to the featured books\, there will also be an online book fair for those who cannot attend in person. \nBy following the library’s IG/FB accounts\, sharing event posts to stories\, and borrowing three physical books\, participants can register at the counter to redeem the “Book Appreciation Reward”: an inspirational text acrylic keychain. After meeting the above conditions and borrowing three e-books\, participants can also receive a limited edition cup of konjac drink each day. Everyone is welcome to join this feast of good books. \nFurthermore\, in collaboration with the Guishan Branch of Taoyuan Public Library\, the Taoyuan campus library is organizing two themed lectures as part of the “Multiculturalism and World Reading Festival” event\, aiming to promote lifelong learning and reading habits among teachers and students\, making learning and reading a natural part of life. \nThe first lecture\, titled “Creating Your Own Original IP Story: How Students Become Product Developers”\, will be conducted by 18Light (Chen Kun-yuan) on April 23 from 14:00 to 16:00. Apart from sharing the courage and challenges of starting from scratch\, the speaker will also discuss the elements of successful entrepreneurship and pass on their experiences to the participants\, providing inspiration. The second lecture\, scheduled for May 16 from 14:00 to 16:00\, will feature Lecturer Cai Yi-ning speaking on gender-related topics\, titled “Gender Unlimited – Multiculturalism and Multifaceted Love”\, and explaining the impact of technology on gender equality and how to handle sexual harassment. \nTo encourage active participation in the lectures\, attendees will have the chance to receive Ferrero Rocher chocolates. It is hoped that through these two lectures\, participants will engage in exchanges with others and be inspired by the speakers’ sharing\, gaining inner peace and resilience\, reigniting their passion for life\, expanding their horizons\, and pursuing self-fulfillment.

Following that\, the Coffee Club will demonstrate the coffee hand brewing process\, providing a live experience of hand-brewed coffee alongside the ukulele performance. Through mutual exchange\, the event aims to foster relationships among participants and broaden knowledge in different fields. Finally\, the event will conclude with a networking session where participants can engage in discussions and share experiences.

This program offers internship opportunities in public sectors for undergraduate students under the age of 35\, allowing them to understand the operations and responsibilities of government departments while accumulating workplace experience. \nAn on-campus orientation meeting will be held on April 24 from 12:00 to 13:00 at Room M104\, Design Building\, Taoyuan Campus\, Ming Chuan University. Interested students are welcome to register for the orientation meeting at https://eform.mcu.edu.tw/node/2917. \nThe orientation meeting is organized by Ministry of Education’s Youth Development Administration in collaboration with Career Planning and Counseling Division of Ming Chuan University. DESCRIPTION:原來只是一門課程的作業，沒想到學生竟然完成了不可能的任務！由銘傳大學傳播學院學生一手包辦、自行籌備的「山鳴祭」演唱會，首次在募資平台嘖嘖發起提案，以驚人速度在短短一個月內成功達標並超出預期，4/27將在台北圓山花博流行館熱鬧開唱。 \n「山鳴祭」演唱會，以「春春慾動」為副標，結合露營、戀愛為主題元素，打造浪漫春天氛圍，讓學生們可以拋開課業壓力，盡情享受音樂。參與的演唱藝人陣容華麗，包含金曲獎新人「壞特?te」、《大嘻哈時代2》冠軍歌手「阿跨面」、獨立樂團「感覺莓果」、千禧世代潛力新星「Sabrina胡恂舞」、新生代唱作歌手「LINION」等，將帶來一場跨曲風的春天音樂饗宴。 \n而這原先只是一門上學期「社群經營」、下學期「全媒體創作」課程，由銘傳大學廣播電視學系助理教授陳譽尹授課，因在課堂上邀請業界資深演唱會導演、嘖嘖平台專案經理、《500輯》活動主辦統籌等業師授課後，詢問學生想藉由學習募資舉辦什麼活動，沒想到學生經過投票選擇辦「演唱會」，便展開這一場不可能的任務，最終真的要辦起來了！ \n陳譽尹老師表示，從藝人邀請、主視覺設計及舞台等，都由學生們一手主導籌備，包括廣告暨策略行銷學系、新媒體暨傳播管理學系、影音新聞暨社群傳播學系及廣播電視學系等四個學系60位修課的大三、大四學生組成，充份運用各系專長，更特別的是除本地生外，還有外籍生共同參與，展現青年學子的創意與活力。同時，特別感謝傳播學院院長陳柏宇整合跨領域資源，以及院上胡巧玲老師、院秘書和各單位老師們的共同合作，將學生的夢想實質化。 \n演唱會公關新傳系學生張靜芳表示，籌備演唱會長達半年時間，過程學習到社群經營、發起募資、活動行銷等方面的實務經驗，當天演唱會將由學生擔綱主持，並鎖定以高中生、大學生為主要對象，特別選在離銘傳大學僅有一站捷運之隔的圓山花博流行館舉辦，加上週邊市集假日人潮、交通便利等優勢，期能吸引到更多對演唱會有興趣的學生都能共襄盛舉，也藉由這次活動，讓高中職學生有機會近距離瞭解傳播科系學生落實實務經驗的成果，及感受到年輕人的熱情及創意。 \n除了多組歌手輪番上場外，當天演唱會門票還能參加抽獎及聯誼，有機會可以認識新朋友，活動免費參加，歡迎有興趣的學生不分年齡及學校，一同來觀賞這場由銘傳傳院學生們一手打造的音樂饗宴。 \n銘傳大學傳播學院「山鳴祭」演唱會，4/27（六）下午4點至7點，在台北圓山花博流行館舉行，詳細活動內容及索票資訊，請至IG搜尋「mcu.resonance2024」查詢。 \n“Resonance” concert\, organized and managed solely by students from School of Communication at Ming Chuan University\, has exceeded all expectations by launching its proposal on the crowdfunding platform Zeczec. Within just one month\, it not only reached its funding goal but also surpassed it. The concert is set to take place on April 27 at Taipei Expo Park Pavilion of New Fashion. \nWith the theme “Spring Awakening\,” the “Resonance” aims to create a romantic spring atmosphere centered around camping and love. It provides students with an opportunity to relieve academic stress and indulge in music. The lineup features a diverse array of performers\, including the Golden Melody Award-winning newcomer “壞特?te”\, “阿跨面”\, the champion of “The Great Hip-Hop Era 2\,” the independent band “感覺莓果”\, the millennial rising star “Sabrina胡恂舞” and the new-generation singer-songwriter “LINION”. Together\, they will deliver a spring music feast spanning various genres. \nOriginally conceived as a project for the “Community Management” and “Multimedia Creation” courses in the previous and current semesters\, respectively\, the idea for the concert emerged during guest lectures by industry experts\, including concert directors\, project managers from Zeczec\, and event planners from “500輯”. Surprisingly\, students chose to organize a concert through a democratic vote\, and thus began the seemingly impossible mission\, which eventually became a reality. \nAccording to Assistant Professor Chen Yu-yin\, the entire event\, from artist invitations to visual design and stage setup\, was led by students. Sixty third and fourth-year students from four departments – Advertising and Strategy Marketing\, New Media and Communication Administration\, Audiovisual Journalism and Social Media Communication\, and Radio and TV – utilized their respective expertise. Notably\, the team included both local and international students\, showcasing the creativity and vitality of young minds. Special thanks go to Dean Chen Po-yu of School of Communication for integrating interdisciplinary resources\, as well as to Professor Hu Chiao-ling\, the school secretary\, and other faculty members for their collaboration in realizing the students’ dreams. \nStudent Zhang Jing-fang expressed that the concert preparation lasted for six months\, during which students gained practical experience in community management\, crowdfunding\, and event marketing. The concert will be hosted by students and is primarily targeted at high school and college students. The choice of venue\, Taipei Expo Park Pavilion of New Fashion\, located just one subway stop away from Ming Chuan University\, offers advantages such as weekend market crowds and convenient transportation. The aim is to attract as many students interested in concerts as possible. Additionally\, the event provides an opportunity for high school students to experience firsthand the practical achievements of students majoring in communication\, as well as to feel the passion and creativity of young people. \nIn addition to performances by multiple artists\, attendees of the concert will have the chance to participate in lucky draws and socialize\, providing an opportunity to make new friends. The on-campus exhibition will be held from April 29 to May 2 at the Design Building Atrium in Taoyuan Campus\, while the off-campus exhibition will take place from May 24 to 27 at Booth E-16 in Nangang Exhibition Center 2 during the YODEX”. \nThe theme of this year’s exhibition\, “VIRTUALAND”\, represents an infinite universe of imagination\, containing countless unique worlds\, each intertwined with its own distinct story. The main visual concept is based on a space-time tunnel\, with the exhibition’s mascots Noah and Uma leading visitors to a world expo. It conveys the idea that in a digital environment\, every student in the animation program is a creator\, able to freely depict the value of their stories\, resulting in a diverse range of works. \nAnimation and Comic Creative Industries Design Program is the first interdisciplinary animation program in the country\, emphasizing integration of learning and application and international alignment. The exhibition features 19 works\, including animations\, comics\, and digital interactive games\, showcasing the potential of animation design in commercial applications with innovative technology. Visitors from the entire school community are welcome to attend and enjoy the exciting exhibits.

Are senior students ready to step into the workforce? The 2024 Taoyuan Campus Graduates’ Association will kick off the 「鯨夢映畢」 from April 29 to May 3 at Ming Garden. \nDuring the week (April 29 to May 3)\, graduating students can participate in the “Time Capsule” activity\, where they can write a letter to their future selves\, offering encouragement and support for the journey ahead. Additionally\, there will be a graduation market prepared by senior students called “Treasure Hunt Fun\,” where younger students can come and explore to see what treasures they can take home! \nFurthermore\, there’s the “Speak Out Loud” activity\, where students can express their gratitude and blessings for the four years in university. Lastly\, the “Campus Quiz” will test your knowledge of Ming Chuan University. Participants will receive a stamp for each activity they join\, and collecting four stamps will earn them a souvenir. The 2024 Taoyuan Campus Graduates’ Association invites soon-to-be graduates! DESCRIPTION:銘傳大學推出十項基本能力，旨在培育學生全方位的十項基本能力。透過課程、競賽和實作，學生將得以發展德、智、體、群、美、企劃、溝通、科技、國際和就職等十大面向的能力。凡通過十力教育的畢業生，可以得到一張十項基本能力證書，而若再進階取得卓越十力證書，可獲得校長的就業推薦信，為未來就職提供很大的幫助！ \n為了鼓勵各位同學，學校推出「即刻承諾獎勵金」計劃，獎勵金名額僅限100人，欲申請的同學，請儘速把握機會！凡銘傳大學112學年度應屆一般畢業生，皆可申請；須於2024年4月30日前上網填寫報名表，並提交一篇600字的十力研修心得，並於7月30日取得基本十力或卓越十力證書後，繳交申請表及領據，即可獲得獎勵金1000元。此外，一般生若通過卓越十力，有機會再申請6000元獎勵金及校長推薦信。 \nMing Chuan University has introduced 10 Pillars aimed at cultivating students’ all-round capabilities. Through courses\, competitions\, and practical experiences\, students will have the opportunity to develop abilities in the areas of morality\, intelligence\, physical fitness\, social skills\, aesthetics\, planning\, communication\, technology\, internationalization\, and employment. Graduates who pass the 10 Pillars Education program will receive a Basic 10 Pillars Certificate. Furthermore\, those who advance to obtain the Excellence in 10 Pillars Certificate will receive a recommendation letter from the president\, greatly assisting in future employment opportunities! \nTo encourage students\, the university has launched the “Immediate Commitment Reward” program\, with only 100 spots available. All graduating general students of Ming Chuan University for 2023 academic year are eligible to apply. Applicants must fill out the registration form online before April 30\, 2024\, and submit a 600-word reflection on their 10 Pillars training experience. Upon obtaining the Basic 10 Pillars or Excellence in 10 Pillars Certificate by July 30\, applicants can submit the application form and receipt to receive a reward of NT$1\,000.
