The artist is deeply enamored with the scroll format\, which unfolds with a narrative and surprises—an elegant approach to capturing time and space. \nThis exhibition portrays scenes from the artist’s everyday life. Within a lychee orchard\, the seasons bring dramatic changes\, cycles of growth and decay\, and stories that unfold daily. DESCRIPTION:邁入第36屆的銘傳文藝獎，不僅開枝散葉、枝繁葉茂，今年更將向下紮根，開辦「高中職_中文散文組」。邀請高中職同學一起來耕耘，讓文藝創作的精神，從高中開始萌芽。大學文青與高中學子，會在文學創作的這個領域，擦撞出什麼火花？值得期待！ \n根據銘傳文藝獎_高中職散文組徵文辦法，徵文項目為1000-3000字的散文，主題不限，預計將不分名次取5個優選作品。銘傳大學應用中文學系游秀雲主任表示，散文是一種注重個人經歷、情感與觀察的文學形式，適合高中職生以親身體驗或思考進行表達。游主任強調，這個年齡階段的學生，雖然生活經歷有限，但對情感與生活的敏銳度較高，特別鼓勵高中職生能通過散文寫作，展現真實的自我。 \n值得一提的是，銘傳文藝獎是少數將得獎作品及評審心得，集結成冊的大學校園文學獎，讓每位得獎同學都可以在求學歷程中，留下一本珍貴的紀錄。 \nEntering its 36th year\, the Ming Chuan Literary Awards is branching out further by launching a new category specifically for high school students: High School Chinese Prose Division. High school students are invited to delve into creative writing and nurture their literary spirit from an early age. How will university and high school students spark new ideas in the realm of literary creation? The results are sure to be exciting! \nAccording to the submission guidelines for the High School Prose Division of the Ming Chuan Literary Awards\, entries should be prose pieces between 1\,000 and 3\,000 words with no set theme. Five top entries will be selected without ranking. Professor Yu Shiu-Yun\, Head of Department of Applied Chinese\, explains that prose is a form of writing focused on personal experience\, emotions and observations\, making it a perfect outlet for high school students to express their thoughts and reflections. Professor Yu encourages students to use prose as a means to present their authentic selves\, noting that while students at this stage may have limited life experiences\, they often possess heightened emotional awareness and sensitivity to their surroundings. \nNotably\, the Ming Chuan Literary Awards is one of the few university literary competitions that publishes winning entries alongside judges’ comments\, providing each winner with a valuable record of their academic journey.

DESCRIPTION:春節將至，嘉禾新村用創意與趣味迎接蛇年的到來。今年推出的春節活動「吉祥蛇到嘉」，以蛇年賀卡蒐集為主軸，邀請插畫家Nic設計了三款限量蛇年賀卡、限定信封以及吉祥話印章，將記憶中熱鬧的日常與春節文化融為一體。活動自2025年1月2日起展開，延續至2月23日，旨在讓參與者在蒐集的過程中，感受村落的節慶氛圍與文化溫度。 \nAs the Spring Festival approaches\, Home Village celebrates the Year of the Snake with creativity and fun. This year’s event\, “Fortune Snakes in Home Village”\, centers around the collection of Snake Year greeting cards. DESCRIPTION:陶藝是文化、藝術與科學的完美結合。陶土具有豐富的可塑性，作者藉由模擬寫實與土質的掌控，搭配半無光的釉色，仿造出皮革的質感，表現當代生活中的時尚，作為陶藝多元的呈現方式，展現生活藝術化的境界。 \n皮革這種產品其實對環境並不友善，是不可回收的。藉由模擬寫真用過或廢棄的皮製品，提醒觀者思考解決地球資源透支的問題。透過「減法生活」，鼓勵每一個人省思自身的物質欲望，選擇讓環境自由、心靈自在的生活方式。人類藉由考古的陶瓷碎片拼湊出時間長河中的生活物件以及情感。以陶記錄當代人的生活軌跡，做為時間的印證。 \nCeramic art is a perfect combination of culture\, art\, and science. With the extraordinary plasticity of clay\, the artist imitates the texture of leather through realistic techniques and her control over the quality of the clay. Her work reflects fashion in contemporary life\, adds to the diverse expressions of ceramic art\, and embodies the concept of “life as art”. \nLeather products actually are not eco-friendly\, because they are non-recyclable. By imitating used or discarded leather products\, the artist reminds viewers to ponder solutions to our overdraft of Earth’s resources. By way of “subtractive living”\, the artist encourages us to reflect on our own materialistic desires and choose a lifestyle that liberates the environment and our spirits. Collaborating with global labels\, HWA released Modcan under the renowned area127 label in November\, showcasing deeper artistic evolution. ESKAPE followed with singles ESKAPE 002 and the forthcoming ESKAPE 003\, blending ’90s psytrance with modern techno elements\, including IDM\, Mental\, Trance\, Tribal and Psychedelic influences. DESCRIPTION:一億七千萬年前，哺乳類正式出現在地球上。歷經無數不同血緣演化，才有了如今的人類。「人類」因擁有靈性意識而主宰著地球，致力於撕除「動物」的標籤。而二十一世紀的此時，醫學及科技卻儼然進步到不可思議之境，人類與動物皆可以改造或合成，顯然唯一可以與動物區別的，僅有「意圖操控地球一草一木」這個執念！ \n然而地球約三十八億年前，即以結構有機體的狀態存在，究竟是否真能被人類輕鬆拿捏，或終至被反噬？我們是否該開始思考如何創造人與動物及萬物間共生共存的烏托邦！ \n此次聯展透過三位藝術家的作品，一窺人類與動物間的緊密連結關係。詹禾渝多年來的油畫作品即以動物視角來詮釋人類的行為模式，展出的版畫系列，將動物與古典名畫結合，可見其獨特的畫風。以及各種動物演繹十二星座的多元面向，完美呈現不同的戲劇氛圍。 \n呂志文運用擅長的水彩渲染技法，巧妙以兔子為主角詮釋童話故事與不同歷史人物或動漫角色，透過動物傳達自身成長背景受時代潮流的薰陶後，衍生出對多元藝術創作的諸多情感。 \n李淑瑜受過去動物實驗之經驗影響，有感於為人類醫學貢獻生命動物之偉大，尤以白老鼠居多，故將名著「胡桃鉗」故事改編融合入創作，主角馬克身處在自創的烏托邦，與經他解放後的改造動物們一同經歷冒險旅程。畫作時常出現的馬克具備不同面貌，象徵多種人格面臨的多重宇宙！ \n170 million years ago\, mammals officially emerged on Earth. Through countless evolutionary paths\, humanity eventually came into existence. As beings of spiritual consciousness\, humans dominate the planet\, striving to shed the “animal” label. Yet in the 21st century\, advancements in medicine and technology have reached astonishing heights\, enabling the modification and synthesis of both humans and animals. Now\, the only remaining distinction between humans and animals seems to be the unyielding desire to control every aspect of Earth’s flora and fauna. \nHowever\, Earth has existed as an organic system for nearly 3.8 billion years. Can humanity truly manipulate it with ease\, or will this ambition eventually lead to its downfall? Perhaps it’s time to reconsider and explore the creation of a utopia where humans\, animals and all forms of life coexist in harmony. \nThis collaborative exhibition delves into the intricate connections between humans and animals through the works of three artists: \n\nChan He-Yu: Known for her oil paintings\, Chan interprets human behavior from an animal’s perspective. Her exhibited print series blends animals with classical masterpieces\, showcasing a distinctive style. Additionally\, her representations of the zodiac signs through various animals perfectly capture a dramatic range of atmospheres.\nAer Lu: Utilizing his expertise in watercolor techniques\, Aer skillfully portrays rabbits as protagonists in fairy tales and historical narratives. His works reflect the influence of his upbringing and the cultural zeitgeist\, expressing his emotions through diverse artistic creations.\nLi Shu-Yu: Inspired by her experience with animal testing and the sacrifices of animals—especially lab rats—for human medicine\, Li reimagines the story of The Nutcracker. Her protagonist\, Mark\, lives in a self-created utopia\, embarking on adventures with liberated and modified animals. DESCRIPTION:香的歷史與文化 The History and Culture of Incense \n自古香藥同源；商周時期，用香多以草本芳香植物自然散發香氣，或是曬乾製成香囊，作為驅蟲、除穢、淨身等功用。秦漢以後，引進木本植物香料，透過直間接加熱或燃燒，或研磨成粉與其他香料調和，伴隨宗教祭祀推廣，用香形式逐漸拓展且精緻，加之海陸貿易愈發興盛，香料取得更加便利且多元。宋代合香技術相對成熟，宮廷文人用香文化普遍，留下不少香方雅事，直至明代，開始出現竹枝線香製作技術的記載。當代化學工業與機械產業發達，因著全球化貿易，製香原料來源與製香技術，亦不斷推陳出新與時俱進。 \n爾後\,人類便珍視這些自然界香氣的饋贈，製香無論是為了愉悅身心、儀式祭祀、亦或是探索神秘的玄學藝術，都賦予其無可取代的價值與意義。 \nSince ancient times\, incense and medicine have shared common roots. During the Shang and Zhou dynasties\, aromatic herbs were used for their natural fragrances or dried to create sachets for repelling insects\, purifying the body\, and dispelling impurities. After the Qin and Han dynasties\, woody incense materials were introduced. These were heated or burned directly or ground into powder and blended with other spices. With the spread of religious rituals\, the use of incense became more refined and diversified. \nBy the Song dynasty\, blending techniques had matured\, and incense culture was prevalent among the royal court and literati\, leaving behind numerous elegant formulas. By the Ming dynasty\, records of bamboo-stick incense-making techniques began to appear. Today\, advancements in chemical and mechanical industries\, along with globalization\, have further diversified incense-making materials and techniques\, allowing them to evolve with the times. \nHumanity has since cherished these gifts from nature. DESCRIPTION:想要擁有一個專屬於自己的陶皿寶盒，並不難! 學習「土板成形法」，藉由幾何拼接手法，製作出盒狀，然後進行開蓋儀式！學習化妝土轉印技法：利用宣紙覆蓋於蓋盒上，沾水按壓，能將繪製的花紋進行轉印的特性，體驗彩繪的樂趣，同時一起揭開轉印的神秘面紗！ \nWould you like to create your own unique ceramic treasure box? It’s easier than you think! In this workshop\, you’ll learn the slab-building technique and use geometric assembly methods to craft a box. You’ll also experience the lid-opening ritual and explore the exciting engobe transfer technique. He specializes in themes of life\, death and vitality. \nNotable achievements include: \n\n2013 Sony World Photography Awards (1st Prize\, Nature & Wildlife category) – the first Asian recipient.\nOther accolades such as the Akiyama Shotaro Memorial Award\, Nikkor Club Award and Epson Taiwan Prestige Award.\nHis exhibitions span prestigious venues like Jazz Photography Gallery\, CMP BLOCK and Hsinchu City Art Museum.\n\nKondo’s works have also appeared in public art installations\, including collaborations with interactive artist Hsin-Chien Huang at MRT Trade Center Station in Taipei and thematic projects for Hsinchu’s Neiwan Line Art Museum. \n作品介紹 Works Overview《Gift》 \n藝術家用了2年的時間走遍台灣各地（台北、新竹、桃園、宜蘭、苗栗、台中、雲林、花蓮、台東、台南、高雄、屏東、澎湖），拍攝了許多不同人種（客家人、本省人、外省人、原住民、外來人）共計超過200名的老人。 \n每一位老人都對我展露出宛如孩子般無邪純真的笑臉。光是看著這些笑臉，就讓人感到幸福。笑臉能帶來愛和力量，撫慰我們的心靈。筆直真摯的眼神，給人勇氣和希望。淘氣調皮的鬼臉，讓我們重拾童心，想起最初的單純。老人用他們各式各樣的表情，教會我們許多不同道理 。 \n老人的臉很特別。尤其是歷經歲月洗禮，刻畫下一道道皺紋的老人臉龐。遍覽風霜的眼睛，顯露強韌的生命力。嚐盡百態的嘴，訴說強烈的意志力。而他們的輪廓、鼻子、耳朵、皮膚等等，都充滿個性，而且散發出獨特風味。由這些每個部位所組合成的一張臉，宛如一件藝術品，展現至臻成熟之美。然而，不光是美。 \n人的臉從出生以來就未曾隱藏，總是表露在外。正因為如此，臉可以看出一個人的人品以及人生觀。十個人就有十張臉、十種性格、十樣人生。老人的臉上，甚至能讀到一場既美麗、又精采的人生故事。老人的臉龐是上天所賜予我們大家最珍貴的禮物。 \nA project spanning two years\, Gift captures portraits of over 200 elderly individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds across Taiwan. Kondo reflects on the wisdom\, innocence\, and life stories etched into their faces\, emphasizing how each expression\, wrinkle\, and feature resonates as a unique narrative and a divine “gift” of life. \n \n \n作品介紹 Works Overview《記憶》 \n這件作品源自我童年的回憶。 \n小時候，每年夏天，我們一家會前往南九十九里的旅館。它有著紅色地毯的大廳，而樓梯轉角的復古大鐘，夜裡每逢整點所發出巨大鐘響，讓年幼的我總是感到十分恐懼。 \n晚餐後，父親總會帶著我們去看夜晚的海。我總是緊握父親的手，沿著藍色燈光的小徑走向海邊。越過沙丘後，映入眼簾的只有一片漆黑跟巨大的浪聲迴響著，我感到害怕極了。 \n與白天的海截然不同，夜晚的海神秘且拒人於外，浪花的姿態不停變化著，吸引著我的目光。在黑白交織的世界中，波浪的律動美的令人忘卻恐懼，讓我不自覺深深沉浸於這股壓倒性的力量。 \nInspired by Kondo’s childhood summer visits to a coastal inn in southern Kyushu\, Memory explores the contrast between day and night at the sea. DESCRIPTION:銘傳大學商業設計學系大四學生深入宜蘭南北館市場，捕捉當地街坊巷弄間的日常藝術，舉辦學期成果展《蘭城藝市》，即日起至2/15在宜蘭人故事館第一展間（宜蘭市中山路二段426號）展出。 \nSenior students from the Department of Commercial Design at Ming Chuan University have immersed themselves in Yilan’s Nanbei Market\, capturing the everyday artistry found in its streets and alleys. Their semester-end exhibition\, “Yilan City Art Market”\, is now open and will run until February 15 at Yilan Story Museum\, First Exhibition Room (No. 426\, Sec. 2\, Zhongshan Rd.\, Yilan City). \n \n銘傳商設系四位分別來自屏東、台南、桃園、宜蘭的大四學生：朱易桓、陳玟華、林穎哲、翁滋秀，以宜蘭「南北館市場」為創作靈感，經過多次實地走訪與考察，透過年輕人的視角，創作書籍、地圖、攝影、影音等多元形式，重新詮釋宜蘭南北館市場的獨特風貌，呈現市場裡的人情故事與在地文化之美，感受市場與藝術的交融。 \nFour senior students—Zhu Yi-Huan\, Chen Wen-Hua\, Lin Ying-Zhe and Weng Zi-Xiu—hailing from Pingtung\, Tainan\, Taoyuan and Yilan\, drew inspiration from Yilan Nanguan Market. Through multiple field visits and observations\, they reinterpreted the unique essence of the market through books\, maps\, photography and multimedia creations. Their works vividly portray the human stories and cultural beauty of the market\, showcasing the fusion of art and daily life. \n \n身為宜蘭在地人的學生翁滋秀表示，在台灣「市場」一直是承載著社會溫度與文化記憶的場所，也是能夠看見當地人生活剪影最快速的方式，成果展以探索市場裡的日常藝術，在這裡，每個攤商都是生活的藝術家，例如食材的陳列方式、幽默風趣的手寫標語，甚至與顧客寒暄的語氣與方式，都蘊含著他們獨有的風格與溫度。 \nAs a Yilan native\, student Weng Zi-Xiu shared her perspective:“In Taiwan\, traditional markets are more than just places of commerce—they carry social warmth and cultural memories. They offer one of the fastest ways to glimpse local life. Our exhibition explores the art within the market’s daily life—each vendor is an artist in their own way. From the arrangement of ingredients and humorous handwritten signs to the rhythmic banter with customers\, these everyday interactions embody unique charm and warmth.” \n \n學生團隊歷經一年時間深入傳統市場採訪店家，和老闆搏感情紀錄他們的工作日常，與傳統市場之間的珍貴情感，捕捉街坊巷弄間的藝術韻味，並拍攝完成《紀錄南北館市場店家點滴》紀錄片，2/11-15同步在宜蘭人故事館2樓視聽室放映，透過了解店家的日常生活與工作場景，揭開南北館市場的豐富面貌。從老闆的用心製作、市場歷史故事，到攤販與顧客間的暖心互動，感受每一份真實與熱情及與土地深深連結的情感。 \nOver the past year\, the student team interviewed vendors\, building close relationships with them while documenting their daily work and deep emotional ties to the market. They also filmed a documentary\, “Capturing the Moments of Yilan Nanguan Market”\, which will be screened from February 11 to 15 at Yilan Story Museum\, 2nd Floor Screening Room. Through insights into vendors’ daily lives and workspaces\, the documentary reveals the rich cultural tapestry of Yilan Nanguan Market—from the dedication of shop owners and historical stories to the heartwarming interactions between vendors and customers. This project captures the authentic emotions\, passion and deep-rooted connection between the people and their land.
