Department of Product Design Furniture Exhibition "Construct-GO" in Bopiliao Historic Block
\nDepartment of Product Design will hold a furniture design joint exhibition titled “Construct-GO” from June 26 to 29 at spaces 13 and 15 in Bopiliao Historic Block in Wanhua. Guided by Professor Lin Fu-nien\, students of the “Furniture Design” course have deconstructed and reassembled structures to create innovative imagery\, symbolizing the concretion of progress. The exhibition is open to the public and faculty members for free. \nThis year’s theme\, “Construct-GO”\, conveys the idea of deconstruction and reassembly\, with the pronunciation similar to the English word “GO”. Chairs represent the smallest unit of interaction between people and space\, akin to the smallest unit of architecture. Twenty-six juniors from the Product Design Department\, who are taking the “Furniture Design” course\, have applied their knowledge to design and create new imagery using various materials. The exhibition will feature 24 innovative chair and table designs. \nUnder Professor Lin Fu-nien’s guidance\, the “Furniture Structure” course in the first semester of the junior year focuses on wood processing\, emphasizing structural concepts through preliminary training and the creation of small furniture pieces. This course places a special emphasis on the structure and form of furniture. In the second semester\, the “Furniture Design” course explores the relationship between furniture functionality\, living functions\, and space. The course integrates AI-assisted design processes to conceive products that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). \nWe welcome everyone to visit and enjoy the exhibition for free.

Slowly and quietly\, immerse yourself in the experience. \nBefore entering the virtual world\, stroll through Taichung’s scenic spots\, taking photos and sharing them on social media. Let your friends see you navigating these scenes as if you were in an uncharted realm. \nThis Zone is specially prepared for those bringing children or for those who are children at heart. It includes digital painting and bead art activities that engage your arms and hands. There are also snacks and drinks available. If you want more fun\, you can add a session. After fully engaging your mind\, body\, and stomach\, it’s time to dive into the virtual experience. \nIn this Zone\, what you see\, smell\, and the ephemeral blooms passing before your eyes are dreamlike illusions\, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. The 3D floating projection showcases the interactive fusion of AI intelligence and the metaverse. You can admire the beauty of this virtual and real-world blend through the floating projections and interact with plant elements to feel the life force. \nThis Zone features picturesque scenes of falling flowers and flowing water enhanced with poetry\, creating a poetic atmosphere. It might inspire you to recite a poem\, and yes\, you can! This area encourages you to boldly recite poetry amidst the flowing colors and floral imagery\, not limited to just a few lines. \nThis Zone is designed for those who want to lie on the grass but are worried about getting too close to pets left behind by their owners. You can comfortably lie on the soft grass with a stone pillow\, surrounded by grass waves and natural music. In this serene setting of wind sounds\, air whispers\, fragrances\, grass waves\, and stone pillows\, you can immerse yourself in a state of peace and tranquility\, satisfying all five senses. \nThis Zone reveals that you are not the only one leisurely wandering through nature. Especially at night\, the forest is inhabited by many mysterious sprites. Interacting with them allows you to experience the diversity of life forms and their mysterious charm. \nThis Zone explores the evolution of Chinese characters from pictograms to their current forms\, analyzing the interpretation of characters through shapes\, sounds\, and meanings. This aligns with contemporary phenomena and gives new meaning to the characters. This is part of Mr. Wu’s “Character Collection” series\, aiming to provoke thoughts on life\, relationships\, and existence\, bringing a journey of enlightenment through words and wisdom. \nThis Zone features the “Thoughts” series\, using immersive projections\, meditation\, and bowl sounds to explore the duality of thoughts—good and evil\, beauty and ugliness\, reality and illusion\, greed and contentment. Ten contrasting scenes depict the variations of thoughts. Beautiful thoughts\, like a vibrant bouquet\, attract bees and butterflies\, while ugly thoughts\, like stinking garbage\, attract flies. What kind of thoughts do you want to harbor? \nThis Zone uses reflection and refraction to cover the entire space with scattered flowers\, creating an illusion of a floral path that disperses as you approach or walk through it. It symbolizes the elusive nature of desires and the joke life plays with us—flowers bloom and fall in their own time. When you have no desires\, you see flowers in full bloom; when you reach out\, the flowers fall. \nThis Zone employs interactive painting projections to send your wishes to the universe through a star. Whether it’s for career\, love\, wealth\, health\, or happiness\, there is a star for each wish\, connecting you with the universe to fulfill your desires. Remember to put your shoes back on and take some memories home to keep shining in your own starry sky. Traffic and Parking Information

Hsieh Ming Chang's Exhibition
\nThis exhibition showcases the entire scope of Hsieh Ming Chang’s artistic development to date. Broadly categorized\, his work revolves around “Meaning and Concept”. “Meaning” refers to the intellectual\, literary\, philosophical\, and emotional elements presented in his paintings\, while “Concept” encompasses the artistic ideas\, techniques\, forms\, and creativity displayed. Therefore\, whether or not to let the work “speak” and how it “speaks” entirely depends on the subject matter. This distinct approach sets Hsieh Ming Chang’s work apart\, making it a “self-contained system\, continually evolving” and “creating in accordance with circumstances and destiny”.

At night\, this toy emits a greenish glow\, making it look like a radiant little work of art! \nAdditionally\, the “One Bite SU” series\, which promotes the idea of not wasting food by transforming into zombies\, has also ascended to become a treasured collection at the National Palace Museum! Inspired by the “Yongle Period Blue and White Dragon Vase”\, the overall design features blue and white porcelain colors as the main theme. The dragon pattern from the classic artifact is intricately incorporated into the back design\, capturing the grandeur and dynamic essence of the lotus-climbing three-clawed dragon. The side mimics the texture of porcelain\, presenting a translucent shine\, while the neck is adorned with flowing lotus patterns\, perfectly combining the allure of toys and collectible art! \nThese two highly popular items will be on sale for the first time at the exhibition. Artist Lin Bo-cheng’s work focuses on exploring human feelings and human nature\, especially by breaking the wholeness of the human body and recombining parts or merging with foreign objects to create a “human-like” existence\, which also implies a passive negation of human identity. Lin Bo-cheng considers from a sci-fi and otherworldly perspective\, pondering what changes occur in the meaning and essence of being “human”\, the differences between humans and tools or machines\, and the relationship between humans and society when “humans” no longer hold their complete significance. \nThe exhibition specially invites emerging novelist Lin Xin-hui\, who focuses on the ambiguous boundaries between humans and non-humans\, to join artist Lin Bo-cheng in discussing changes in contemporary humans both psychologically and physically\, from the perspectives of sci-fi\, otherworldliness\, human and human-like\, and human-machine integration.

The walkways are flanked by a Greek column style with one large pillar and eleven smaller ones on each side\, creating a deep visual effect. \nThis architecturally stylish building offers a glimpse into the scenery of the Japanese colonial period\, making it feel as though you are walking through a time tunnel. Long Time No See\, the Long-Awaited Morning Walk \n散步，是一件很浪漫的事，當然也可以說是一種輕鬆的舒壓法。 \nWalking is a very romantic activity and can also be seen as a relaxing way to relieve stress. \nIt’s been a while since you’ve taken a stroll around the campus at 8am\, hasn’t it? \nLooking back at the days when we rushed to catch the bus and get to class early in the morning\, life might have been hectic back then. \nHowever\, now we can make walking more interesting by listening and engaging our senses\, allowing ourselves to be more present and deeply immersed in the moment. \nZhoushan Road disappearing from the Map? \nIt is rare for an urban street in Taiwan to undergo such a transformation as Zhoushan Road. Once a main thoroughfare planned for urban traffic\, it has now become an alternative route and ultimately been redeveloped into a pedestrian walkway lined with trees within a campus. \nAs you walk north along Zhoushan Road\, you will come across another historical site often mentioned in textbooks: the “Liugong Canal Branch”. \nThe waterway next to the ecological pond is the remaining branch of the Liugong Canal\, which once traversed the NTU campus and has a history of over 260 years. \nThe old canal nurtured life and stories\, preserving the waterway branch beside the ecological pond. \nOn Xinsheng South Road\, the excavated canal has transformed the previously indifferent urban environment into a green space centered around people\, bringing greenery into daily life. 雙人散步票 Couple Ticket：NT$850／人 person \n散步路線 Walking Route： \n集合出發 → 晨間散步（時空旅人走訪社科院／消失的舟山路／瑠公圳殘存支線／台大十二美景椰林大道／傅鐘的二十一響／台大校門） → 台北自來水博物館 →  秘境解鎖／地下水宮殿導覽（安排自來水園區導覽老師） → 原地解散 \nAssembly → Morning Walk (Space-time Traveler visits Academia Sinica / Disappeared Zhoushan Road / Remaining Branch of Liugong Canal / Coconut Avenue of Twelve Scenic Spots of NTU / Fu Zhong’s Twenty-One Sounds / NTU Gate) → Taipei Water Museum → Unlocking Secret Spots / Underground Water Palace Tour (guided by a teacher from the Water Park) → Dismissal at the starting point \n＊動線安排將依當天天氣、防疫期間校園開放狀況做彈性調整 The route may be adjusted flexibly according to the weather and campus accessibility during epidemic prevention periods. \n集合解散資訊 Assembly and Dismissal Information： \n集合地點 Assembly Point：08:00 科技大樓捷運站 at Technology Building MRT Station \n解散地點 Dismissal Point：11:30 自來水博物館 at Taipei Water Museum（將視現場導覽時間做調整 adjustments may be made based on tour duration） \n＊最終集合解散資訊，將依行程通知資訊為準 Final assembly and dismissal details will be based on itinerary notifications \n報名 To apply：https://www.accupass.com/eflow/ticket/2405280330152014850098?utm_source=EventPage&utm_medium=AdCard&utm_campaign=accu_AdCard_2405310532494598543320 \n報名須知 Registration Information \n\n本活動限6歲以上兒童或成人報名。 \n\n\nThis activity is open to children aged 6 and above\, as well as adults.
