DESCRIPTION:法國哲學家傅柯（Michel Foucault\, 1926-1984）可說是二戰以來繼沙特（Jean-Paul Sartre\, 1905-1980）之後，最為人所知、思想也最為原創的法國哲學家之一。在其生命短短不到六十年的歲月裡，留下了《古典時代的瘋狂史》（Histoire de la folie à l’âge classique\, 1961）、《臨床的誕生》（Naissance de la clinique\, 1963）、《詞與物》（Les mots et les choses\, 1966）、《知識考古學》（L’archéologie du savoir\, 1969）、《話語的秩序》（L’ordre du discours\, 1971）、《監視與懲罰》（Surveiller et punir\, 1975）、四卷《性史》（Histoire de la sexualité I -IV），並留下數千篇中短論文與訪談，收錄在《文與言》（Dits et écrits I et II），還有在他過世後，門生故舊編纂的手稿等，諸如《主體的解釋學》（L’herméneutique du sujet\, 2001）、《非正常的人》（Les Anormaux\, 1999）等十四餘冊書籍。今年適逢其逝世四十週年，就讓我們以兩次的講座來引領讀者進入傅柯短暫又多彩的世界。 \nFrench philosopher Michel Foucault (1926-1984) is considered one of the most renowned and original thinkers in France since World War II\, following Jean-Paul Sartre (1905-1980). Despite his relatively short life of less than sixty years\, Foucault left behind significant works including Madness and Civilization (Histoire de la folie à l’âge classique\, 1961)\, The Birth of the Clinic (Naissance de la clinique\, 1963)\, The Order of Things (Les mots et les choses\, 1966)\, The Archaeology of Knowledge (L’archéologie du savoir\, 1969)\, The Order of Discourse (L’ordre du discours\, 1971)\, Discipline and Punish (Surveiller et punir\, 1975)\, and the four-volume History of Sexuality (Histoire de la sexualité I-IV). He also produced thousands of essays and interviews collected in Dits et écrits I et II\, as well as posthumously compiled manuscripts by his students and colleagues\, such as The Hermeneutics of the Subject (L’herméneutique du sujet\, 2001) and Abnormal (Les Anormaux\, 1999). SUMMARY:臺北藝術節 Taipei Arts Festiva｜時間博物館 Embodying Theirstories
DESCRIPTION:邁入第廿六屆的臺北藝術節於八月二日至九月八日登場，今年的主題為「時間博物館」，包括十檔售票、一檔免費節目、二場免費駐地研究分享，共計四十場次的演出，參演藝術家來自日本、法國、比利時、泰國、臺灣，從不同角度、以不同形式，展現看待及處理歷史的多元角度。 \n在時間博物館，「劇場史」可以是透過劇場重述歷史，如黎煥雄與吳子敬的跨世代合作，重塑1987年臺灣小劇場運動的代表作品《闖入者》；金枝演社劇團《西來庵》與同黨劇團《父親母親》，在政局變異中召喚身分認同，再探台灣人權歷程。 \n除了集體記憶，「劇場史」也可以是個人生命經驗的再回溯，維帢亞．阿塔瑪（Wichaya Artamat）《曼谷公寓》用雙視角探尋泰國社會文化的另一面；即將擺脫少女身分的蘇品文，一頭鑽進剩女經濟學，企圖透過與法國國家舞蹈中心（Centre National de la Danse）共製之作品《剩女經濟》對厭女社會展開大逆襲；米耶・沃洛普（Miet Warlop）《一路到底》的瘋狂演奏，回應的是每個人生命中都會經歷過的巨大失去。前法國國家舞蹈中心藝術總監瑪蒂德・莫尼葉（Mathilde Monnier）的《黑暗之光》，企圖說服我們，身上的傷痕，其實是復原與重生的起點。 \n「劇場史」還可以是架空歷史，如馮莎．夏紐（François Chaignaud）與麿赤兒（Akaji Maro）的《黃金雨》，揉合神話帶來一場超越年齡、性別的無邊界探索。四把椅子劇團《太陽》在架空的疫後世界，準確預言人性的光明與黑暗。 \n當藝術家與我們共同在劇場創造了歷史上的某個時刻，其實都在書寫劇場史的篇章，而所有的歷史都是當代史，無論是「重述」歷史、經驗的「再」回溯、「架空」的歷史，這些說故事的方式，都是臺灣當代劇場的重要時刻。 \nThe 26th Taipei Arts Festival is set to take place from August 2 to September 8. This year’s theme\, “Embodying Theirstories”\, features ten ticketed performances\, one free program\, and two free residency research presentations\, totaling 40 performances. Artists from Japan\, France\, Belgium\, Thailand\, and Taiwan will participate\, showcasing diverse perspectives on history through various forms and approaches. \nIn the Museum of Time\, “Theater History” can be a retelling of history through the stage\, such as the intergenerational collaboration between Li Huan-xiong and Wu Tzu-ching\, which recreates the 1987 representative work of Taiwan’s small theater movement\, The Intruder. The Golden Bough Theatre’s Xilai’an and Same Party Theatre’s Father Mother explore identity and revisit Taiwan’s human rights journey amidst political changes. \nBeyond collective memory\, “Theater History” can also be a retrospective of personal life experiences. Wichaya Artamat’s Bangkok Apartment offers a dual perspective on Thai social and cultural issues\, while Su Pin-wen\, on the verge of leaving her girlhood behind\, dives into the economics of “leftover women” with her work The Leftover Woman’s Economy\, co-produced with the Centre National de la Danse\, launching a fierce counterattack against a misogynistic society. Miet Warlop’s One Song is a frenzied performance responding to the profound losses everyone experiences in life. Former artistic director of the Centre National de la Danse\, Mathilde Monnier\, in A Light in the Dark\, attempts to convince us that our scars are actually the starting point of recovery and rebirth. \n“Theater History” can also involve an alternate history\, such as François Chaignaud and Akaji Maro’s Gold Shower\, which blends myth to create a boundless exploration beyond age and gender. Four Chairs Theatre’s Sun accurately predicts the light and darkness of human nature in a post-pandemic world. \nWhen artists create a moment in history with us in the theater\, they are writing a chapter in the history of theater\, and all history is contemporary history. DESCRIPTION:英國藝術家Martin Harman的創作特色，以英國著名景點「巨石陣」遺址為靈感，雕塑出具有抽象風格的陶瓷藝術。他的作品探討信仰、靈性、空間等主題，反映出他對現實世界的深思，並象徵著逃離現實、進入虛幻境地的過程。 \n 此次在本館展出的「小即是美」系列，依然以巨石陣遺址為靈感，並呈現一系列小型的抽象陶瓷雕塑。作者在創作理念中提到：「傳統上，雕塑通常被認為是大型作品。然而，如果雕塑變小，會是什麼樣子？」因此，他在這次個展中，以巨石陣遺址的觀察為基礎，創作了這些小型陶瓷作品。 \n 巨石陣以其高聳的圓形幾何結構和神秘的謎團，吸引了來自世界各地的遊客，也激發了作者對周遭世界的不同理解。對於大多數人而言，我們努力去理解所見的一切，然而，巨石陣卻邀請觀眾探索它自身的意義。作者透過這些小型陶瓷作品，讓觀眾在微觀中體驗宏觀，並重新審視我們對世界的認知。 \nBritish artist Martin Harman’s work is inspired by the famous Stonehenge site\, creating abstract ceramic sculptures that explore themes of belief\, spirituality and space. His creations reflect deep contemplation of the real world while symbolizing a process of escaping reality and entering a surreal realm. \nIn this “Small is Beautiful” series exhibited at the gallery\, Harman continues to draw inspiration from Stonehenge\, presenting a series of small\, abstract ceramic sculptures. The artist’s concept questions traditional notions: “Sculpture is often regarded as large-scale works. But what if sculptures were made small?” Thus\, this solo exhibition showcases small ceramic works based on his observations of the Stonehenge site. \nStonehenge\, with its towering circular geometric structures and enigmatic mysteries\, attracts visitors from around the globe and has inspired the artist to perceive the world in new ways. While most people strive to understand everything they see\, Stonehenge invites viewers to explore its own meanings. DESCRIPTION:阿美族青年風曦提案帶領的作品。釀酒與音樂創作擁有許多共通點：都把眾多個別元素控制在手，並且產生甜美的結果。遵循傳統技術的釀酒，更蘊藏著原住民族對於在外打拚族人的回饋之意，搭配祭典歌舞的現場呈現，觀眾將隨著風曦「用聲音釀酒」，透過嗅覺、聽覺與視覺等感官體驗，探尋這段充滿感謝與期盼的旅程，節目總長約50分鐘。 \nThis performance is led by Amis youth風曦. Brewing and music composition share many similarities: both involve controlling various individual elements to produce a sweet result. Traditional brewing techniques embody the indigenous people’s spirit of giving back to those who work far from home. Accompanied by live ceremonial songs and dances\, the audience will join Feng Xi in “brewing with sound\,” experiencing a journey filled with gratitude and hope through their senses of smell\, hearing\, and sight.
