在大稻埕，英國與台灣的貿易故事早在19世紀就已展開。作為台北最早的國際港口之一，大稻埕曾是茶葉出口的重鎮，吸引了包括英國在內的多家外商進駐。
根據歷史記載，早在1872年，大稻埕已有五家英國貿易公司設立據點，其中包括蘇格蘭商人John Dodd，他與李春生共同推動台灣茶葉走向世界，被譽為「台灣茶之父」。
這裡不僅是貿易的起點，也是文化交流的交匯地。英式建築、洋行文化、茶館風格在大稻埕留下深刻印記，成為今日英倫風格活動的最佳場景。

Step into a British-style Christmas celebration in the historic district of Dadaocheng — a festive journey of shopping, tastes, and cultural connections.
Located in the vintage charm of Dadaocheng, House of Story Wear Sustainable Department Store presents a Christmas feast that blends British style with local Taiwanese culture. From dazzling holiday lights to a refined British specialty market, every corner is filled with seasonal magic and heart-warming stories.
The trade relationship between the UK and Taiwan began here as early as the 19th century. As one of Taipei’s earliest international ports, Dadaocheng was a major tea-exporting hub, attracting numerous foreign traders including British companies.
Historical records show that by 1872, five British trading firms had already established themselves in Dadaocheng, including Scottish merchant John Dodd, who partnered with Lee Chun-sheng to take Taiwan’s tea to the world — earning the title “Father of Taiwan Tea”.
This was not just a trading gateway, but also a crossroads of cultural exchange. British architecture, trading house culture, and tea salon influences left a lasting mark here — making Dadaocheng the perfect backdrop for a British-style Christmas event.

本場活動與三民書局合作，邀請旅台英國作家Will Buckingham將分享他創作的英文繪本「The Snorgh and the Sailor」。這本書是溫馨又富有哲理的兒童繪本，講述一隻不喜歡冒險、也不愛交朋友的「Snorgh」，在遇見一位愛講故事的水手後，展開了一段意想不到的冒險旅程。這本書以幽默與溫暖的筆觸，傳達了擁抱新體驗與友誼的價值，非常適合親子共讀，也能引發成人對於「改變與開放」的深層思考。

House of Story Wear永續百貨支持中華民國腦性麻痺協會【支持愛家園共建計畫】將為期一年展出腦麻青年的畫作展覽以及勸募零錢捐活動，另外號招英國品牌共襄盛舉，提供公益藝術品拍賣，費用將全數捐給中華民國腦性麻痺協會。
邀請民眾在享受節慶氛圍的同時，也一同響應公益，讓聖誕的祝福延伸至更多需要關懷的角落。
