2024動畫實驗場—四校交流展 Animation Experimental Lab – Four-School Exchange Exhibition

為促進國內動畫新銳創作者，有更多交流及推展動畫藝術觀摩與展映機會，銘傳大學數位媒體設計學系、國立台南藝術大學動畫藝術與影像美學研究所共同主辦，攜手國立台南大學視覺藝術與設計學系及設計碩士班、實踐大學高雄校區電腦動畫學士學位學程協辦的「2024動畫實驗場－四校交流展」，6/22-23在台灣當代文化實驗場C-LAB多功能廳展映，歡迎免費前往觀賞。

策展人動畫導演、銘傳數媒系林青萱老師表示，「動畫實驗場」活動去年由銘傳大學數位媒體設計學系、國立台南藝術大學動畫藝術與影像美學研究所首次發起策劃，主要聚焦「動畫新銳與實驗動畫」創造力之展現，藉以傳達動畫獨有的自由創作氛圍，今年再加入國立台南大學視覺藝術與設計學系及設計碩士班、實踐大學高雄校區電腦動畫碩士學位學程兩校學生作品參與展映，從動畫作品交流及專題講座中，分享新銳創作者們其動畫探索與獨特的創作過程。

此次銘傳數媒系共有5部學生動畫作品參展：《幻境操偶師》、《過去》、《魬》以及兩部在今年「第20屆技專校院電腦動畫競賽」一般大學組分別獲得優勝、佳作的《堊利席恩》、《壞旅行》，將在6/22（六）16:50-17:50進行放映，並將安排林青萱老師與學生影人出席交流進行映後座談。

To promote opportunities for emerging domestic animation creators to engage in exchanges and showcase their work, MCU’s Department of Digital Media Design and the Graduate Institute of Animation and Film Art at Tainan National University of the Arts are co-organizing the “2024 Animation Experimental Lab – Four-School Exchange Exhibition”. This event is co-hosted by Department of Visual Arts and Design and Master of Design program at National University of Tainan, as well as Bachelor’s Degree Program in Computer Animation at Shih Chien University Kaohsiung Campus. The exhibition will take place on June 22-23 at the multifunctional hall of Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB), and admission is free.

Curator and animation director, Professor Lin Ching-hsuan from Department of Digital Media Design, stated that the “Animation Experimental Lab” event was first initiated last year by MCU and the Graduate Institute of Animation and Film Art at Tainan National University of the Arts. The focus was on showcasing the creativity of “emerging and experimental animation”, aiming to convey the unique atmosphere of free creation inherent in animation. This year, the event includes works from students of the Department of Visual Arts and Design and the Master of Design program at National University of Tainan, as well as the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Computer Animation at Shih Chien University Kaohsiung Campus. Through the exchange of animation works and special lectures, the event will share the exploration and unique creative processes of new animators.

Department of Digital Media Design will feature five student animation works: “PuppeTeer”, “Past”, “Wave Back”, as well as “ELYSIUM” and “BAD TRIP”, which won awards in the general university category of this year’s 20th Technical and Vocational College Computer Animation Competition. These works will be screened on June 22 (Saturday) from 16:50 to 17:50. Professor Lin Ching-hsuan and the student filmmakers will also attend the event for a post-screening discussion and interaction.

《幻境操偶師》PuppeTeer

在一座漂浮在太空中的小星球上，有一家由機器人吉米經營的加油站。某天，吉米在丟垃圾途中不慎墜入垃圾堆中的二次元空間，在這奇異的地方，他遇見了某種神秘的生物。這次相遇將帶來改變吉米一生的秘密。

On a small planet floating in space, there’s a gas station run by a robot named Jimmy. One day, while disposing of garbage, Jimmy accidentally falls into a two-dimensional space within the trash heap. In this strange place, he encounters a mysterious creature. This encounter reveals a secret that will change Jimmy’s life forever.

《堊利席恩》ELYSIUM

以神、人為主軸，輪迴貫穿整個劇本，一神一人以下棋方式相互對抗，每一盤棋都是主角落敗而亡，陷入輪迴的主角繼承上一世的記憶並更加謹慎的與神對弈。終於，主角獲得勝利，他以為自己可以掙脫束縛，進入極樂之境，但神卻還是讓他墜入永恆的輪迴。

The story revolves around gods and humans, with reincarnation as a central theme. A god and a human engage in a series of chess matches where each loss results in the human’s death, trapping the protagonist in an endless cycle of reincarnation. The protagonist retains memories from past lives and becomes more cautious with each game. Eventually, he wins, believing he has broken free to reach Elysium. However, the god forces him back into the eternal cycle.

《過去》Past

主角回到童年小屋，周圍卻瀰漫異常氛圍，似乎只有主角一人會與妹妹對話。隨著回憶重現，主角勇敢面對過去，慢慢接受自己的過錯。父母的陪伴下她走出陰影，實現對自己的原諒，最終對自己犯的錯釋懷。

The protagonist returns to her childhood home, where an eerie atmosphere pervades. She is the only one who converses with her sister. As memories resurface, she bravely confronts her past, gradually accepting her mistakes. With her parents’ support, she emerges from the shadows, forgives herself, and finds peace.

《壞旅行》BAD TRIP

主角小綠在垃圾堆中醒來，循著腦中破碎的記憶，小綠遇見另一個跟他個性截然不同，卻有相同遭遇的少女小粉，兩人一同踏上尋找真相之路。 隨著他們的旅行，頭痛頻率越來越高，小綠漸漸靠近結局…

The protagonist, Xiao Lu, wakes up in a garbage heap. Following fragmented memories, Xiao Lu meets another girl, Xiao Fen, who shares a similar fate but has a contrasting personality. Together, they embark on a journey to uncover the truth. As their journey progresses, Xiao Lu’s headaches intensify, leading him closer to the ultimate revelation.

《魬》Wave Back
楊子慧、劉嘉、陳泳慈、鄺佳佳、吳瑄軒

14歲的金山從小就在父母的魚鋪幫忙。某天在一次夢裡，他遇見一個奇怪的魚頭人，原本的鬧市不知道為什麼變得冷清起來。金山彷彿被吸引，放下手上工作，跑向他。魚頭人指引他跑過街道，帶著他進入了他一直渴望學習知識的學校，以及他夢寐以求的遊樂園⋯金山一邊驚嘆，一邊興奮地看到和做到了本該一輩子都看不到、做不到的事。

At 14, Jin-Shan has been helping at his parents’ fish shop since he was young. One night in a dream, he encounters a peculiar fish-headed man. The bustling town around him inexplicably becomes desolate. Drawn to the fish-headed man, Jin-Shan leaves his work behind and follows him. The fish-headed man leads him through the streets, into a school where he always longed to study, and to an amusement park he dreamt of visiting. Jin-Shan marvels as he experiences things he thought he would never see or do.
