Ming Chuan University’s traditional highlight of the anniversary celebration, the Creative Cheerleading Competition, returns to Taipei on March 23 (Saturday)! Flipping through the history books of cheerleading, the last time the spirited event took place on the Taipei rooftop playground was back in 2015, during the 58th anniversary celebration. After an 8-year hiatus, the cheerleading competition is making a passionate comeback to the Taipei campus. Are you ready to grab a seat and cheer on?
According to the schedule announced by the Sports Department for the “67th Anniversary Creative Cheerleading Championship,” the event will kick off at 14:00 on March 23 (Saturday) with the athletes’ grand entrance. This year, a total of 13 teams will compete for the Cheerleading Gold Cup, with the B team of the School of Education and Applied Languages and the A team of the School of Social Sciences taking the lead and closing the show, respectively (see attached image for the order of appearance). Can the School of Tourism, which clinched the championship last year after a four-year hiatus, succeed in defending their title? Or will it be the A and B teams of the School of Management, who secured second and third place last year, showcasing their home advantage and seizing the champion’s cup? The School of Communication, a traditional powerhouse that finished fifth last year, vows to reclaim its glory this year. The competition is already heating up even before it begins!
While the competition on the field is intense, the spectators on the sidelines should not be idle. Ming Chuan NetTV is hosting the “67th Anniversary Cheerleading Championship Predictions Lucky Draw” on its FB and IG platforms. From now until 14:00 on March 23, simply like or follow their Instagram and Facebook fan pages, watch the highlights of each college’s cheerleading performance, and like or react to your favorite team’s video to participate in the lucky draw.
