金融科技學院 FinTech School｜台灣棒球數據分析競賽 Taiwan Baseball Data Analytics Competition

由銘傳大學金融科技學院與台灣棒壘球科學研究會、灼見運動數據共同推動的「台灣棒球數據分析競賽」今年邁入第三屆。去年度活動吸引中職球團到場交流，冠軍隊伍以「換投預測模型」引發關注，顯示素人也能以數據進入職棒決策視野。想用數據助攻棒球賽事的你，報名截止至本週五（11/14），把握機會組隊參賽！ 活動報名。

今年銘傳延續產學協作，由師生提供資料處理、建模與「把數據說成故事」的專業指導，並首度增設高中職組，讓年輕棒球迷也能以AI與賽伯計量學為利器，展現對比賽策略與球員表現的洞察力。競賽優勝前三名隊伍除可獲獎金外，並有機會獲得專業機構實習機會，讓數據真正走進棒球現場，為未來職涯鋪路。

金融科技學院高翊瑋老師表示，本競賽不僅是運動數據人才的交流平台，更象徵AI與體育產業跨界融合的實踐。

Taiwan Baseball Data Analytics Competition, jointly organized by MCU FinTech School, the Taiwan Baseball & Softball Science Research Association, and Jockey Sports Data, celebrates its third year. Last year’s competition drew the attention of CPBL teams, with the champion group’s pitching-change prediction model sparking discussion and demonstrating that passionate amateurs can also bring data-driven insights into professional baseball decision-making.

This year, Ming Chuan continues its industry–academia collaboration by offering participants faculty-led guidance on data processing, model building, and storytelling with data. For the first time, a high school division has been added, giving young baseball enthusiasts the opportunity to use AI and sabermetrics to showcase their strategic and performance insights. The top three winning teams will not only receive prize money but may also gain internship opportunities at professional institutions—bringing data directly into baseball operations and paving the way for future careers.

Professor Kao Yi-Wei of FinTech School noted that this competition is not only a platform for sports analytics talent but also a testament to the growing integration of AI and the sports industry.
