Ballroom文化源於紐約地下同志社群，是屬於Gay people的派對，一開始大家只走秀、選美，後來透過連續模仿模特兒做時尚的Pose，衍生出現下流行的音樂文化時尚Vogueing舞蹈！
Ballroom culture originated from the underground LGBTQ+ community in New York. It began as a party for gay people where people would initially walk the runway and compete in beauty contests. Later, through continuous imitation of models’ fashion poses, it evolved into the popular music and fashion culture known as Vogueing.
在比賽場域中，比起輸贏，主辦者更在乎的是建立一個能讓LGBTQ+族群（變裝皇后、男同性戀、或跨性別等多元性少數族群）放心展現自己樣貌的空間，但這不限於性少數者們參加，你可以在這裡大肆耍辣／耍酷、穿恨天高的高跟鞋、畫誇張的妝，穿梭於 陽剛／陰柔 兩者之間 ，在Ballroom裡得到的掌聲與歡呼，將化作我們在殘酷現實社會中，面對各種異樣眼光的力量✨
In the competition arena, rather than focusing on winning or losing, the organizers are more concerned with creating a space where the LGBTQ+ community (including drag queens, gay men, transgender individuals, and other diverse minorities) can safely express their true selves. This space is not limited to sexual minorities; anyone can come here to flaunt their style, wear high heels, apply bold makeup, and move between masculinity and femininity. The applause and cheers received in the Ballroom turn into the strength we need to face various judgments and discrimination in the harsh reality of society.
本次活動將邀請到巴黎知名Vogueing舞者Chachou Wang Miyake Mugler做為本次舞會活動評審，為舞會注入更國際化的色彩；並邀請近期在泰國Drag Arena奪冠的變裝皇后 – House of Mesula媽媽：Yolanda Mesula，以及在臺灣變裝皇后屆耕耘15年之久的冰家媽媽Feilibing Ice Queen；與媽媽剛奪得Rupaul’s Drag Race S16冠軍的瘋家女兒 – Ophelia Wind擔任Lip Sync對嘴比賽評審，這次可望將臺灣變裝比賽帶入另一精彩境界！
This event will feature Chachou Wang Miyake Mugler, a renowned Vogueing dancer from Paris, as one of the judges, adding an international flair to the ballroom. We will also have Yolanda Mesula, the drag queen who recently won the Drag Arena in Thailand, and Feilibing Ice Queen, a seasoned drag queen in Taiwan with 15 years of experience. Additionally, Ophelia Wind, the daughter of the recently crowned RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 champion, will be joining as a judge for the Lip Sync competition. This lineup promises to elevate the drag competition scene in Taiwan to a new and exciting level!
