東南亞新生代導演在國際影壇持續崛起且導演風格強烈。他們在幾乎沒有政府定期補助下，從國際合作中另闢蹊徑，並且因為資源有限，反而更加精煉了創作者的視野。六位導演難得齊聚一堂分享東南亞影人絕地求生之術！談資源、預算、導演視野、計畫與浪漫！

New-generation directors from Southeast Asia are continuously rising in the international film scene, known for their strong directorial styles. Despite the lack of regular government subsidies, they have carved out new paths through international cooperation. The limited resources have sharpened the vision of these creators. Six directors will gather to share their survival skills, discussing resources, budgets, directorial vision, planning, and romance!

【第一堂 Session 1】沒有「資源」拍什麼片 No “Resources”, No Film ——越南獨立電影從本土走向國際經驗 Vietnam’s Independent Films Going International

在近十年間，越南獨立電影在國際影壇的崛起卻比台灣更加快速。中生代導演潘燈貽 Dang Di Phan是其中的幕後推手，他舉辦Autumn Meeting工作坊，每年有數十名有志成為導演的潛力人才與50名左右的演員參與。更有計畫性地邀請柏林、坎城選片人到訪越南參與工作坊，讓年輕導演提案表達自己。 本主題越南導演潘燈貽 Dang Di Phan與既是導演，也是製片人的阮蝶晃Nguyen Hoang Diep分享近年越南電影創作者進入國際影展的脈絡與策略。

Over the past decade, Vietnamese independent films have risen in the international film scene more rapidly than those in Taiwan. Mid-generation director Phan Dang Di is a key figure behind this success. He organizes the Autumn Meeting workshop, attracting dozens of aspiring directors and about 50 actors each year. He also strategically invites selectors from Berlin and Cannes to Vietnam, allowing young directors to pitch their projects. This session features Phan Dang Di and director-producer Nguyen Hoang Diep sharing the strategies and context of Vietnamese filmmakers’ recent successes at international film festivals.

【第二堂 Session 2】沒有「計畫」拍什麼片 No “Plans”, No Film ——偶然與獨特的第一部長片 The Serendipitous and Unique First Feature

獲得盧卡諾影展當代影人最佳影片的 《好久不見 Dreaming & Dying》是由短片出發，再延伸拍攝成長片的製作，全片共三個演員，一共拍攝五天。導演楊國瑞Nelson YEO談導演如何凝聚團隊意識與不斷濃縮反覆提煉自己的電影語彙。導演楊妙靈 Linh DUONG善於描繪中年婦女，首部長片《Don’t Cry Butterfly》由四國合製，剛完成後製。她將分享走過各大國際工作坊的利弊，以及如何挑戰混合類型的作品。

The film “Dreaming & Dying,” which won Best Film at the Locarno Film Festival, began as a short film and was extended into a feature. With only three actors, it was shot in five days. Director Nelson Yeo will discuss how he fosters team cohesion and continuously refines his cinematic language. Director Linh Duong, known for her portrayal of middle-aged women, has just completed post-production on her first feature “Don’t Cry Butterfly”, co-produced by four countries. She will share the pros and cons of participating in international workshops and the challenges of creating hybrid-genre works.

【第三堂 Session 3】沒有「浪漫」拍什麼片 No “Romance”, No Film ——菲律賓的愛情喜劇之道 The Path of Romantic Comedies in the Philippines

Dan Villegas是菲律賓知名的電影導演和攝影指導，導演作品涵蓋了浪漫愛情片、喜劇以及劇情片等不同類型。其作品在菲律部部票房保證，也因故事情感和對人性的深刻探索而受到好評。執導的電影《Walang Forever》和《All of You》也曾在台灣進行取景。Dan Villegas將分享菲律賓電影的商業模式，包含籌資、政府補助、以及如何將菲律賓本土觀眾喜愛的元素結合，把握故事情感與商業價值的平衡點。

Dan Villegas is a renowned Filipino director and cinematographer, known for his romantic comedies, dramas, and various other genres. His films are box office hits in the Philippines and are praised for their emotional depth and exploration of human nature. His films “Walang Forever” and “All of You” were even shot in Taiwan. Dan Villegas will discuss the commercial model of Filipino cinema, including fundraising, government subsidies, and balancing emotional storytelling with commercial value.

【第四堂 Session 4】沒有「預算」拍什麼片 No “Budget”, No Film ——以小博大導演之路 The Path to Directing with Limited Resources

導演陳清輝 Tran Thanh HUY以親弟弟為主角拍攝首部長片《人性爆走課》，獲得釜山影展新浪潮最佳影片，在越南票房打敗好萊塢《天能》！他將分享從《人性爆走課》一路到消防員動作影集《Toward the Fire》與第二部長片計畫的導演歷程——如何以導演心法突破有限資源，以小博大！

Director Tran Thanh Huy filmed his first feature “Rom” with his younger brother as the lead, winning Best Film at the Busan International Film Festival’s New Currents section and beating Hollywood’s “Tenet” at the Vietnamese box office! He will share his journey from “Rom” to the firefighter action series “Toward the Fire” and his second feature project, discussing how to leverage limited resources and achieve great success.

【第五堂 Session 5】沒有「視野」拍什麼片 No “Vision”, No Film —— 淬煉導演獨特的創作視野 Refining a Unique Directorial Vision

由於國內資源有限，東南亞導演更加淬煉出自己語彙，積極的接軌國際。潘燈貽 Dang Di Phan與阮璜蝶 Nguyen Hoang Diep從中生代導演經驗回望，與年輕創作者一起探詢如何從自身創作脈絡出發，發掘出屬於自己的特色。

With limited domestic resources, Southeast Asian directors have honed their unique languages and actively connected with the international scene. Phan Dang Di and Nguyen Hoang Diep will look back on their experiences as mid-generation directors and explore how young creators can develop their unique styles from their creative contexts.
