MCU is committed to promoting sustainable campus education. In October, the General Affairs Division is launching a series of workshops titled “Everyone Can Be a Green Thumb – Growing Plants Made Easy” at both the Taipei and Taoyuan campuses. These workshops will allow students and faculty to experience the joy of planting while practicing environmental sustainability. Professor Chen Kun-Tsan has been invited to lead the sessions, which will take place on Friday, October 4, from 13:00 to 15:00 in Room D103 on Taipei Campus, and on Friday, October 18, from 13:00 to 15:00 in Room EE203 on Taoyuan Campus. We warmly welcome all those interested in plant cultivation to sign up via the provided link.

The Everyone Can Be a Green Thumb – Growing Plants Made Easy workshops will offer rich content, increasing participants’ knowledge of plant cultivation. Those who complete the entire workshop and submit a feedback form will receive a beautifully crafted small potted plant as a souvenir. Additionally, lunch will be provided, allowing participants to enjoy a delicious meal while engaging in a rewarding learning experience. Participants may also apply for an official leave of absence or, if they choose not to, they can count the workshop as one service-learning lecture credit. This flexibility offers multiple benefits for attending this valuable workshop, so don’t miss out!

For further details, please contact Mr. Wang Jing-Yan at Taoyuan Campus General Affairs Division (phone: 03-350-7001 ext. 3789). This workshop not only presents a great opportunity to learn planting skills but also plays an essential role in promoting environmental sustainability. We look forward to seeing more faculty and students join hands and participate as we move toward a sustainable future together.
