在現代繁忙與喧囂的生活中，我們往往忽略了那些微小卻珍貴的瞬間，Contemporary by U 畫廊將於2024年年末帶給觀眾一個嶄新的展覽—— 「Gentle Souls」。Haydonna的作品以其愛犬為靈感，從低視角探索寵物眼中的純粹世界，透過簡約而多巴胺的色彩，捕捉日常生活中的柔軟時刻。本次展間彷若「家」的延伸，丹麥家具品牌HAY Taiwan的家具點綴其間，將藝術與生活緊密結合，邀請觀者沉浸於生活的純真與美好。

Ｈaydonna此次展出的作品不僅捕捉了人與寵物之間純真而深厚的情感連結，也引發觀者反思此社會現象——「人們將原本沒有實質意義的事物賦予意義，又或是表面看似有意義的事物其實空洞無實」。這些作品回歸到人事物的本質，讓人從動物真誠的視角體驗，進而引導我們思考簡單生活的價值，並喚起對這些珍貴瞬間的感知與重視。

「Gentle Souls」不僅描繪了寵物的澄澈之心，也巧妙地將人類的善良隱藏於作品之中。期望我們再次與那份純粹且柔軟的靈魂相遇。

In the midst of modern life’s busyness and noise, we often overlook the small yet precious moments. Closing out 2024, Contemporary by U Gallery brings a refreshing exhibition — Gentle Souls. Inspired by her beloved dog, Haydonna explores the pure world seen from a pet’s low perspective. Using minimalist yet dopamine-rich colors, her works capture the soft moments of everyday life.

The exhibition space extends the concept of “home,” with HAY Taiwan’s Danish furniture blending art and living. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the simplicity and beauty of life.

Haydonna’s work not only portrays the innocent bond between humans and pets but also prompts reflection on a societal phenomenon: the tendency to assign meaning to things that may lack substance, or to find emptiness in seemingly meaningful constructs. By returning to the essence of people, animals, and objects, her art offers a sincere perspective through animals’ eyes, inspiring thoughts on the value of simple living and fostering an appreciation for these fleeting, precious moments.

Gentle Souls not only captures the clarity of pets’ hearts but subtly reveals humanity’s kindness through its art. The exhibition aspires to reconnect visitors with purity and tender souls.

｜藝術家簡介 Artist Introduction｜

Haydonna，1991年出生於美國威斯康辛州，現居首爾。

從紐約曼哈頓的視覺藝術學院（SVA）畢業後，她回到了韓國，於2016年創立藝術工作室TIN，擔任創意總監和平面設計師，並以“Haydonna”的名字展開她的藝術家生涯。

Haydonna的作品以簡單流暢的線條和大膽鮮明的色塊著稱， 時常以「第一人稱」和「平視」的視角描繪牠們眼中的世界，將動物和人類的姿態巧妙地融合在一起，描繪出當下的情緒，作品中的多巴胺色彩和極簡線條不增添了趣味性和想像空間，形成了她標誌性的創作。

她曾與Samsung、Nike、Shake Shack、Casetify、Aromatica、Merlot、MMLG等知名品牌合作。2022年於韓國舉辦首次個展,近期也多次受到海外畫廊邀請參展，成為備受關注的新興當代藝術家。

Haydonna was born in 1991 in Wisconsin, USA, and is currently based in Seoul.

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in Manhattan, New York, she returned to Korea in 2016 and founded her art studio TIN, where she serves as Creative Director and graphic designer. She began her artistic journey under the name “Haydonna”.

Known for her simple, flowing lines and bold, vibrant colors, Haydonna often illustrates the world through a “first-person” and “eye-level” perspective, seamlessly blending the postures of animals and humans. Her works, characterized by dopamine-inducing hues and minimalist forms, add a sense of playfulness and imagination, marking her distinctive style.

Haydonna has collaborated with renowned brands such as Samsung, Nike, Shake Shack, Casetify, Aromatica, Merlot and MMLG. She held her first solo exhibition in Korea in 2022 and has been invited to participate in international gallery exhibitions, gaining recognition as a rising contemporary artist.

◗ 未經許可，禁止任何商業攝影行為。

• Last Entry Time: 18:30 daily.
• Pet Day: Every Sunday. Pets must be fully supervised with leashes, carriers or strollers.

• Ticket Use: Each ticket allows a single entry during the exhibition period.
• Special Offer: Each ticket can be redeemed for a $100 discount on cultural merchandise (excluding HAY Taiwan products). Valid for same-day purchases only.

  • Photography is allowed throughout the exhibition, but commercial photography is strictly prohibited without prior approval.
