香的歷史與文化 The History and Culture of Incense

自古香藥同源；商周時期，用香多以草本芳香植物自然散發香氣，或是曬乾製成香囊，作為驅蟲、除穢、淨身等功用。秦漢以後，引進木本植物香料，透過直間接加熱或燃燒，或研磨成粉與其他香料調和，伴隨宗教祭祀推廣，用香形式逐漸拓展且精緻，加之海陸貿易愈發興盛，香料取得更加便利且多元。宋代合香技術相對成熟，宮廷文人用香文化普遍，留下不少香方雅事，直至明代，開始出現竹枝線香製作技術的記載。當代化學工業與機械產業發達，因著全球化貿易，製香原料來源與製香技術，亦不斷推陳出新與時俱進。

爾後,人類便珍視這些自然界香氣的饋贈，製香無論是為了愉悅身心、儀式祭祀、亦或是探索神秘的玄學藝術，都賦予其無可取代的價值與意義。

Since ancient times, incense and medicine have shared common roots. During the Shang and Zhou dynasties, aromatic herbs were used for their natural fragrances or dried to create sachets for repelling insects, purifying the body, and dispelling impurities. After the Qin and Han dynasties, woody incense materials were introduced. These were heated or burned directly or ground into powder and blended with other spices. With the spread of religious rituals, the use of incense became more refined and diversified.

By the Song dynasty, blending techniques had matured, and incense culture was prevalent among the royal court and literati, leaving behind numerous elegant formulas. By the Ming dynasty, records of bamboo-stick incense-making techniques began to appear. Today, advancements in chemical and mechanical industries, along with globalization, have further diversified incense-making materials and techniques, allowing them to evolve with the times.

Humanity has since cherished these gifts from nature. Whether used for pleasure, ritual, or exploring mystical arts, incense has gained irreplaceable value and significance.

課程製香主題《茶香・明空》 Workshop Theme: Tea Fragrance: Bright Emptiness 

「明」代表光明、智慧、覺悟，是一種透過內在修行達到的心靈開闊狀態。它表現了對事物本質的洞察力以及心境的清澈明朗。

「空」源於佛教哲學中的「空性」，意指一切事物本質上的無自性、不執著，象徵著放下偏見與束縛後的自由心境。

在「茶香明空」這個製香主題中，「明空」與「茶香」相結合，進一步強調了品茶與焚香時的靜心體驗，讓人進入心境明朗與廣闊的狀態，回歸內心的平和與自由。

• “Bright” signifies illumination, wisdom, and enlightenment, representing a clear and open state of mind achieved through inner cultivation. It reflects insight into the essence of things and a bright, clear disposition.
• “Emptiness” originates from the Buddhist concept of śūnyatā, signifying the absence of inherent existence. It symbolizes a liberated state of mind free from prejudice and attachment.

Combining “bright emptiness” with tea fragrance, this workshop emphasizes the meditative experience of tea-tasting and incense-burning. Participants are guided into a state of clarity and spaciousness, rediscovering inner peace and freedom.

This journey explores local scents, fosters interdisciplinary collaborations, and develops innovative applications of aroma, shaping a new era of “Taiwan’s Fragrant Landscapes.”

Through exquisite creations crafted from natural materials, HAYA opens the door to transformative olfactory experiences, inviting participants on a journey of self-awareness.

2. 如無法出席，將保留名額至下次上課（三個月內），如需退費，ACCUPASS將收取10%手續費。
3. 最晚請於開課前10分鐘至現場完成報到手續，課程準時開始，屆時大門將關閉。
4. 費用包含講師費、場地、材料，場地限制，每堂名額有限，額滿為止。
5. 如未達開班人數，將通知延期至下次開課時間。
6. 建議年滿14歲以上者報名，限購票者參與入席，未購票者不得共同參與體驗。

5. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the session may be postponed. Notifications will be sent in such cases.
6. Participants aged 14 and above are recommended. Only ticket holders may join; non-ticket holders are not allowed to participate.
