2024 TAxT桃園科技藝術節 Taoyuan Art x Technology Festival：超智域–一場人與AI的競賽 Super Intelligence – A Competition Between Humans and AI

桃園科技藝術節今年邁入第8屆，本屆聘請專業策展人羅禾淋，以「超智域─一場人與AI的競賽」為主題，邀請來自台灣、日本、英國及義大利共14組科技藝術家作品展出，並結合多達13場次的無人機演出及5場次現場教育推廣活動，讓市民在各類AI應用爆炸性成長的時代，能夠對AI與人類未來發展有更深入的了解及想像。
超智域，延伸超智能（Superintelligence）一詞，是指超越人類智慧水準的人工智慧系統。這個概念通常與未來學、人工智慧研究、以及倫理和哲學討論相關聯。超智能的AI在理論上不僅能夠模擬人類的所有認知任務，而且還能在這些任務上遠遠超出人類的能力，指任何比人類在幾乎所有方面（包括創造力、決策能力和學習能力）都要強大的智慧體。這個概念涉及的不僅僅是普通的計算能力，還包括理解、感知、解決複雜問題的能力，以及可能的情感和社會智慧。超智能可以通過多種方式實現，包括人工智慧（AI）、增強人類（通過生物技術或電腦增強）或者其他尚未想像到的技術手段，而超智域則是談論超智能產生時，面對社會機器後，所面臨的想像，可能帶個人類烏托邦，又或著相反。
展覽區分三大主題，以人類的觀點再次探討人工智慧的靈魂、身體、場域，如同人類對於自身內觀、本體、外觀三大面向，對應子題「AI思考」、「AI身體」、「AI風景」。
此外，今年正逢第3屆「桃園科技表演藝術獎」得獎作品出爐，3組得獎團隊也將分別在桃園展演中心、米倉劇場及廣藝廳進行首演，共同推動桃園的文化科技盛事。
The Taoyuan Art x Technology Festival is entering its 8th edition this year. Under the curatorship of professional curator Luo He-Lin, the festival’s theme is “Super Intelligence – A Competition Between Humans and AI”. The event will showcase the works of 14 tech artists from Taiwan, Japan, the UK and Italy. In addition, there will be 13 drone performances and five educational promotion activities, offering the public a deeper understanding of the relationship between AI and humanity in an era of explosive AI advancements.
The term “Super Intelligence” refers to an AI system that surpasses human intelligence. It is associated with futurism, AI research, and ethical and philosophical discussions. In theory, superintelligent AI not only simulates all human cognitive tasks but also exceeds human abilities in areas such as creativity, decision-making, and learning. This concept includes the capacity for problem-solving, understanding, and perception, as well as emotional and social intelligence. Super Intelligence could be achieved through AI, human augmentation (biotechnology or computational enhancement), or other yet-to-be-imagined technologies. The exhibition Super Intelligence explores the possible societal impacts of these advancements, imagining scenarios ranging from human utopias to more dystopian futures.
The exhibition is divided into three main themes: “AI Thinking”, “AI Body” and “AI Landscape”, mirroring human introspection on soul, body and environment. It seeks to explore AI from these perspectives and reflect on how it interacts with humanity.
In addition, the 3rd Taoyuan Tech Performing Arts Awards winners will be presenting their debut performances at Taoyuan Performing Arts Center, Micang Theater and Guangyi Hall, further enhancing Taoyuan’s cultural and technological significance.
